Spoilers The Bad Batch - Season 1 Discussion [cue A-Team theme music]

And I repeat my observation from before that the "skip intro" button is worthless. It does not appear at the beginning during the Lucasfilm or Disney logos. It still does not appear during the flashy droid and mask visuals. It does not even appear when the "Star Wars" logo appears. It finally appears when the "Bad Batch" title shows up, and by then it's too late! :angryrazz:

And yet I always hit it, in the vain hope that I manage to skip a fraction of a second of the 'Bad Batch' title card.

I never do.

I almost panicked for a moment at the end, because I thought this was the last episode of the season. Then I looked at the episode description and noticed that it was part 1 of 2.

I still hit it. Same with Mandalorian.

I hate the skip intro button, especially during Mandalorian with its excellent (and short!) title card sequence.

It makes sense for a show with 1-2 minutes long main credits sequence which is literally identical every single episode and presented as a binge format.

It doesn’t make sense for a 5 second title card or for main credit sequence which is (potentially) changing every episode and even part of the narrative presentation (She-Ra atPoP is a good example. It is mostly the same, but details change to show the changing story and development of the characters)

Also, Marvel needs a "skip to revealing extras within end credits" button.

And everybody needs a "jump to Ashoka scenes" button. Which works on "Hera" when Ashoka is absent. Although Disney+ basically already has that.

I really hope Star Wars never goes down the Marvel route of mid/post credits scenes. I can't stand them.

Book of Boba Fett kind of worked because it was an announcement of a new show and wouldn't have fit in the episode.

Mid and post credit scenes are really superfluous and it would be nice if they could be excised. However they are easily ignored.

Credits and title cards are not. I prefer the skip option to be available to those who want it.

With the Marvel movies, Disney plus offers the option to skip through the credits directly to the mid and post credit scenes.

Unfortunately that does not seem to be the case with their shows though. There have been a few episodes of Wandavision, FATWS and Loki that have had mid-credit scenes.

If they're so easily ignorable, then why not just ignore them and go on your merry way? Why not let those of us who do enjoy them keep on enjoying them?

Edit: I mean, I wasn't aware that I was keeping people from enjoying them. I just find them rather odd, and unnecessary. That's my preference for the most part. Same with title cards. I'm sure some people really enjoy them. Me? The time I have for entertainment watching is highly limited.

Yeah, I'm sorry. That came off a bit more aggressive than necessary. I've gotten tired of people complaining about such scenes in general and I ended up lashing out on you.

The Mandalorian title card is one of the best I've seen. Nicely timed, great music, and I love finding out the episode title that way, Disney+ hides it until a day or two later.

Also it's 8 seconds long, hardly worthy of a Skip Intro function.

I must say I'm a wee bit disappointed in the finale.......I liked the message that we can disagree and not be enemies a GREAT message for this volatile year of COVID and political extremes, but I could have used a lot less Poseidon Adventure and more story movement. When you get down to it, we got very little resolution or even forward movement. The tease for next season was what we all knew as well........first time I've been down about an episode. Still loved the season as a whole and have high hopes for more ASAP.

So, Crosshairs is not (yet) rejoining the batch.
He was visibly torn between loyalties and maybe even a bit of shame.
But he still rationalizes his behavior by idolizing the Empire as something great he wants to be part of and his brothers betraying him.
He repeats the Soldiers follow orders Mantra, even though it was not programmed into him with a chip, as a behavioral anchor, I think.
Watching the batch just surviving, exhibiting no adversarial behavior at all, even saving his live, probably has sent him thinking a little bit.

Man...what if Crosshair ends up sitting on on that platform for a very long time? He was abandoned by the empire.

I was thinking........he's gonna get hungry and thirsty real quick out there!

From what we saw, there's mighty good fishing

Yeah, the apparent lack of bait might be an issue
