The Axe/Renewal Thread (Finale)

I think Comcast too busy taking over the world to care. Community was renewed so it's clear that Comcast isn't around. However Chuck' numbers suck and even the fans feel it should end.

I hope it gets a solid ending because I plan to watch the show once it ends but only if there is an ending as I hate unresolved stories.

I think Comcast is going to want to clean house at NBC. Bye bye Chuck.
I won't feel bad about that if it happens--Chuck had a nice long run and it was already starting to show its age this season to the point where I just stopped watching it.

V was awful from the start and despite the numerous shake-ups and the promises of "the show getting good this time-we promise" it never did.

To Comcast, "taking over the world" includes putting their stamp on NBC, which they care about more than GE did. Comcast is in the entertainment business and is out to prove that they can do more than just make people wait five hours for the repairman to show up.

ABC has a new honcho, too, so expect more cancellations rather than fewer there as well..

But NBC already renewed their good comedies and NBC dramas suck anyways, what what is new with Comcast being around than last year?

Same with ABC, they already renewed a lot of shows, so what exactly is the new person doing?

Does anyone know for sure if The Event was canceled officially? The hubby and I have several episodes on the dvr but we don't want to watch if it's not coming back anyways...

I looked around a bit but didn't see anything official...

Nothing official but the ratings are bad. I quit watching it a while go but was curious if it improved so looked at the synopsis for the most recent episodes and it just reaffirmed I made the right decision to drop it--it sounds like it is a straightforward action show with no real effort to develop the aliens or develop an interesting mythology--basically eschewing the sci-fi component making it just another pedestrian political action "thriller".

Ugh. That sucks. We actually have 7 of the eps on dvr so I guess that's roughly 7 hours I don't have to lose.

Is not official but in 2 weeks it will be.

Yep, I'm waiting for the official word before I actually erase the recordings...

Not renewing any lame shows this year, like they have in the past. (NBC in particular.) It will be the same idea as ever, but new management swings the axe just a little more towards the lame shows.

I'm really pulling for Nikita it's probably the best of the bubble lot.

We will know more after the next original airing but OTH looks set for some sort of a 9th season so its a fight between Hellcats and Nikita assuming CW doesn't axe both. Hellcats last ratings would indicate Nikita is winning the fight.

Fox has renewed for Bones for a 7th season today ;) but still no word on House.
