You forgot the horrible writing didn't help either. The Event was DOA when it made its comeback because a massive break, spring weather on return and the ratings were already falling before. Even on NBC the show has 0% chance of returning.

oddly I just dont see CSI NY being axed, and CSI should really be on its final season, next fall.CSI:NY/The Good Wife - Seemed to have nailed its place on fridays for a final season in 2011/2012 BUT the recent news about The Good Wife signing up actors to a 2 years deal to go with a 2 year pickup has thrown that in doubt. The Good Wife surley cannot stay on a non friday night meaning CSI:NY would have to be axed to make room.
the problem is the stars are going somewhere, Warrick left, Grissmon left, Catherine will be in only a few episodes next season, and the show has struggled to find new characters, unlike Miami & NY that have introudced new characters and largely gotten away with it.CSI is still a top 10 show. No way it's going anywhere.

People are really going to have to like Ray next series, or the show simply wont survive.
11 seasons (12 next season) is a good long run, no shame in putting the show to bed sonner rather than later at this stage.
true about Warrick & Grissmon, but Sarah was no real loss to the show, and she came back.the problem is the stars are going somewhere, Warrick left, Grissmon left, Catherine will be in only a few episodes next season, and the show has struggled to find new characters, unlike Miami & NY that have introudced new characters and largely gotten away with it.CSI is still a top 10 show. Well, the show survived the loss of Warrick, Grissom, and a large chunk of episodes without Sara. I think the other characters could carry the show for a few more years. I doubt CBS would ever end it without it having a serious dip in ratings (relative to other shows).
What is in the Tea leaves for The Event? Granted I think I am probably the only one who still watches and still relatively enjoys it....
I also hope if Blue Bloods comes back they don't change it into a generic procedural...

Did you read that's exactly what they are doing?

Good--it so far has avoided the sophomore slump that is usually the harbinger of a show sucking in years to come and is really consistent so yeah! The CW have renewed...The Vampire Diaries,
The only other show on broadcast I consistently enjoy--fun little soap. It just donned on me that the only two shows that have consistently been entertaining this season are on the much maligned CW.Gossip Girl
I knew they would--afterall they kept Smallville going for ten years when it has sucked for years and they brought back Seventh Heaven years ago when it had jumped the shark and had already ended just to resurrect it.Supernatural
