I did my good deed for the day. I heard rustling in the leaves outside my window and went to investigate. It was a big turtle. By the time I got some shoes on it had gotten almost to the street.
I was afraid it would get run over by a car so I picked him up and walked him a block to the creek and put him on the bank. The thing was pretty heavy. I think it was a Florida soft-shell turtle like this one:

I thought of that but it kept trying to go in the same direction I ended up taking it. It seemed determined.
