You actually do need to be careful around birds right now, there's been a pretty nasty Bird Flu that's been going around lately. I don't think it infects people, but it's been pretty bad for birds.

I was rather shocked earlier to see a couple posts that make it look like the sanctuary where the really bad cruelty case happened, might actually be one that I followed, and I might have even commented back and forth with the person responsible. The initials someone used in one of their posts matches it, and the IG page for it's gone, and I was just thinking that I hadn't seen any posts from them in a long time.
