The alternative factor continued

The stuck for eternity thing is another one of those eye-roll ideas... so because you're in this "corridor" you no longer need to eat or drink? You suddenly have limitless body fuel and oxygen because why?

Dumb dumb dumb.
 
This presumes that time would be moving forward in that corridor. For all we know, it is not: the two goons have their hands locked at each other's throat, and are frozen that way for all eternity, from the moment the portal-ship is blown up. After all, that's what Kirk's dialogue actually describes.

Although why should Kirk know the first thing about what will happen when he follows the instructions of the sane Lazarus? How does Kirk come up with this strange prediction in the first place?

Maybe they're trapped in an instant of time which continually repeats itself a bit like 1201pm but as a matter of minutes rather than an hour!
