The Ahsoka series is coming.

If the show follows the standard adventure party styling they need six people and a ship.

Small aside lest we forget how unreliable leaks can be: remember that last year that were some leaks that had Sabine showing up in Mandalorian season 2, played by Mercedes Varnado? Which of course turned out to be bogus.

Indeed, that leak may have in and of itself given away where it was coming from; specifically someone involved with "The Gallery" production side of things, since that's where 1) about everything that did leak from Bo Katan to Ahsoka, and Boba could be sourced, 2) was the only time in any official released images that I've seen, Varnado was show in costume, sans hairpiece and just sporting her actual hair (which is very colourfully dyed not unlike Sabine's), and of course 3) it had zero footage or mention of Luke, which was about the only thing that didn't leak from that season.

Point being, even when they're "real", often the people responsible for these leaks aren't actually in the know, they're just tangential to the production, or the marketing, or merchandising pipelines and may have laid eyes on *something*. Doesn't mean they actually know what's going on.
It makes sense that the leaks would come from people more on the peripheral of the production, anybody closer than that would probably know better than the leak stuff, and would be easier to track down if they did.

People shouldn't be confusing 'leaks' with 'stuff people made up'.

'Rosario Dawson is Asokha' is an example of the former while 'Sasha Banks is Sabine' is an example of the latter.

Well it's hard to tell the difference.

The Sasha Banks playing Sabine rumour came from the same people who rumoured Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka IIRC.

Real actual studio leaks are few and far between.

We just happen to live in a time were 'news' has been replaced with clickbait based on rumor, assumption, and correlation fallacies. What people often confuse as a 'leak' is just the one in ten time the shit actually stuck to the wall.

*And to that point, I 100% believe that both the Ahsoka and Bo leaks were intentional -- in a sort of rumor mill sleight of hand to 'hide' "The Rescue" ending.

Information that is reported on by the Hollywood Trades but not officially confirmed by film or television studios counts as a leak, in my opinion.

Like I said; the likely reason for that is that the leaker was someone in the 'Disney Gallery' pipeline. They saw Rosario, they saw Banks. The former obviously looked like Ahsoka, the latter looked like this.

Point being, just because the leaker is "real", doesn't make them accurate or reliable.
Also; why do we want to be listening to leakers anyway? Isn't it more fun to find these things out as you watch the show?

That's not the impression I got from interviews with Dave & Jon. Indeed that literally everything else leaked out close to the release seemed to make them MORE nervous that Luke's appearance would leak too, not less.

And again, this isn't a studio leak, it's a peripheral pipeline leak. (no pun intended.)
How often are things first "revealed" because of the damned lego solicitations? That's outside studio control. Indeed that's exactly the reason why there was ZERO "Baby Yoda" merch ready for the season one roll out. So the idea that they'd intentionally leak anything to keep something else secret just doesn't track.

And yes, some productions do have "accidentally on purpose" leaks to drum up buzz. Typically those are productions that need said buzz to get ahead. This is not one of those productions.

Yeah, as secretive as they try to be with the Star Wars & Marvel stuff, I doubt they'd intentionally leak stuff.
I wouldn't be surprised if some of the times where the actors have "accidently" said something they "weren't supposed to" were actually staged, but I put those in their own category, separate from leaks.
I have to confess, there have been a few times I've almost been tempted to make up something about a Marvel or Star Wars movie or series, and contact one of the sites that constantly post BS rumors, and tell them I have a friend who worked on the movie and they told me this, and see if they run with it or not.

There would be a beauty of it if what you made up came true.

I'd have “made up” obvious developments like Sabine and Anakin being in the Ahsoka series, then delivered a different one to different rumour outlets, assuring that at least one hit the mark perfectly. Then I'd flaunt my pseudo-credibility of an insider to push more.

I'm filing for the obvious appearances of Hera, Chopper, and Ezra. That Hera and Chopper appear in Andor is my insider secret that proves I'm not just guessing (definitely). I am also preparing to “leak” my insider info about Zeb appearing in the Lando series for another element of surprise. Their involvement in hiding Grogu from the Inquisitors is where I'm pushing my luck a little bit, but hey, I never said it would happen on screen and they would know about it!

Oh, and did you know the Boba Fett series only happened as they got Temuera Morrison to play Cody for Obi-Wan? Yoda appearing in the temple on Coruscant in The Acolyte, oh – but Rey being seen in the Chosen One prophesy seen by Orla Jareni is the more bolder one I'm taking (and if it turns out to be Anakin seen by elderly Vernestra Rwoh, I'd still claim I'd been right all along). I'm not saying which series young Amilyn Holdo will appear in, though.

Hey, if Camie and Laze made an appearance...

Mary Elizabeth Winstead is joining the cast of Ahsoka. No information on her character yet.
And let the random guessing of which established character she'll be playing commence! (90% of which of course are going to be either Hera or Leia.) Never mind that original characters are still a thing!

My main take-away: We're only now a Zoë Bell, and a Tracie Thoms short of a Death Proof reunion, and I've been waiting for Bell to show up in Star Wars since The Mandalorian season 1.

Hell, yeah! I love everything she does!

I don't care who she's playing, I'm just thrilled she's going to be on the show.

Ok, I'll bite, she's Doctor Aphra
