I mean I just watched the movie "The Adjustment Bureau" and while I liked the movie a lot I had issues with the whole thing of these beings having run the world from the shadows since the birth of mankind. Really? Had they been doing this on other worlds too, or was Earth this magical "wow place" that they just had to mess with?
See this is the thing that irks me about these kind of stories. Who or what are these beings, where did they come from and what gave them the moral right to alter human destiny according to their own design? We never asked them to guide us. Leave us alone you douchebags. Let us make our mistakes. Who are you guys to tell us how to live?
This is also a very common story trope that has literally been done over and over in other movies too but for some reason I liked it in this movie and found myself rooting for David and Elise. I really had no time for the men in suits except maybe Harry who seemed to have something of a conscience, and we don't know how long these guys live but he seemed to be tired of it all.
Oh and true love, true love is what saved our two heroes.
They were about to be lobotomized by "angels" with tech. Really, why did they need any devices if they were angels as the movie seems to hint? Surely they could have snapped their fingers and "poof" lobotomized David and Elise.
Anyway I liked this...

BTW that guy who yelled out to David about being a voter.... Random 2 second scene in the first 30 minutes. He's the chairman I think.
