The Action Figure and Toy Collecting and Discussion Thread!

Even with the limited articulation and tooling of figures made in the '90s the attention to detail on the costumes and the body could often be very impressive considering the somewhat cruder action figure technology of that decade.

Three more 31" Jakks Pacific figures are coming to stores in the wake of the current Darth Vader and the three existing Clone Troopers:

1. Darth Vader (an electronic f/x model in different packaging)
2. Clone Commander Cody
3. Darth Maul (Theed Hangar Battle version without the robes)

Thought I would share my wife's passion, these are her Designer Disney Princess/Villains dolls.

^Cool. Ursula looks like she's lost a few pounds there, though. I have some Maleficent dolls and toys but not that one, she was always my favorite.

Those dolls are cool and very nice-looking. Belle and the Beast are probably my favorites.

Buy one, get one 50% off on all Star Wars 3.75" action figure-related items at Toys "R" Us this week. That includes the new Geonosis Jedi Knight four-packs and basic carded figures.

I'm watching the Saturday Night Live Christmas special, so I thought I'd bring this one back:

Hawkeye's favorite Lonely Island song is Dick in a Box.

Talk about having an arrow in one's quiver. Insert aim jokes here.

And insert insert jokes here also.

The Amazon.com-exclusive Legacy Collection (Droid Factory) figure set is now on sale for just $23.99 if you order right now. That's 60% off the original price for six unique carded figures and one Build-a-Droid character, all on exclusive cardbacks and shipping in a white protective box.

That makes each figure just a little over three bucks each. Not bad considering that one average carded figure in a brick-and-mortar store will run between six and ten dollars before sales tax.

OK. I have been meaning to post in this thread for awhile. Behold! My Mass Effect collection

Nice collection! Sharp and very cool.

I think the pics should be alright. I don't think a Mod will need to step in and shrink your pics. I and others have posted images that are just as large if not bigger and they were just fine. Thanks for sharing!

Just released: images from New Zealand of the cardback reverses of the upcoming Saga Legends Boba Fett and Stormtrooper figures (five points of articulation). They're not in North American stores just yet.

For just $5.99 I can see a Stormtrooper like this being pretty popular army-building fodder even with the more primitive, reduced, '90s-style articulation. For background troops standing in a review line or quietly guarding something a diorama person wouldn't need them to do much anyways.

I noticed that the photo for the Stormtrooper packaging isn't from A New Hope but a shot from the deleted scene in Jedi where Han and the Rebels storm the Imperial Bunker and get in a firefight with the Stormtroopers inside.

Is that a full doll of the Beast behind her? Does anyone know? Was this a special two-doll set or is the Beast in the package more of a space filler and not the same level of quality as Belle?
