The Action Figure and Toy Collecting and Discussion Thread!

You linked to the outdated wiki? Tsk tsk.

Everyone, go head over here for the more up-to-date version with the larger user base and more articles. (They used to be one and the same, but split apart couple of years ago. Teletraan 1/Wikia is largely abandoned, though a few people still update it. Read about the split here.)
^This. Plus, the tfwiki seems to work a bit better and isn't bogged down with ads or wikia's formatting requirements.

Personally, I love what they did with Animated Wreck-Gar's page!

I always wondered about that, as I knew there seemed to be two wikis running around.

It can be confusing, what with Tetraan 1 using the current Wiki layout. You'd think it would be the "legit" one, but it's actually the other way around.

Mutenroshi, the smaller ones are the McFarlane Spartans, right? Who makes the larger blue one? I've got a couple of those lying around somewhere. The Halo stuff is about the only halfway decent stuff that McFarlane makes any more.

You're right, the three smaller ones are from McFarlane's. They're their standard 6 inches.
The larger one comes from Square Enix / Play Arts. He's all fabulous and shiny.

I've order this baby:

Won't be released until June, though.

And....scene.

Did anyone else here catch the season finale of The Clone Wars this morning? There are so many terrific characters in that show and over the course of the last few episodes that deserve being turned into detailed action figures (thanks a lot for killing the line, Hasbro), not the least of which are the Jedi Temple Guards with their facial masks and double gold-bladed security sabers.

I just watched it...what a magnificent episode. I teared up. Ahsoka is my favourite character of the series, and I can't wait to see where this goes next season. Why did Hasbro kill the line? Seems to me there is still more potential for figures.

Officially? "New direction and plans for the future of the Star Wars line" and "the Clone Wars has run its course."

Unofficially? 2012 sales of overshipped, poorly distributed and disappointing Clone Wars figures were a major letdown (although Canada, Europe and Asia are all getting the first and final wave of 2013 so what's the deal with that?) and the company is complaining about higher wages for Chinese factory workers and cutting corners to compensate. Either way, the Clone Wars line is dead after almost five years.

That means no more new Ahsoka figures :( Ah well. Yeah I saw that we are getting the new wave but you guys are excluded? That's weird. We usually get screwed over on these types of things lol.

It's possible realistic Clone Wars figures could come out in the upcoming Black Series and Saga Legends lines, but as far as Hasbro's concerned the animated figure line is dead and buried after this green-packaged 2013 wave you guys are getting.

I don't know why the U.S. market is getting screwed this time but it's definitely unusual for us to not get figures.
