The Action Figure and Toy Collecting and Discussion Thread!

I just took a look at the Superman pics you guys mentioned. Very nice. Superman figures and figurines often have a sketchy, uneven track record but those look pretty sweet.

Yeah I'm guessing the photos we saw are of prototypes? Especially since Zod looks like he is without his cape or overcoat get up we saw in the teaser trailer.

Here's a hi-res closeup of the "Black Series" X-Wing Luke due out this fall.

Here's a much better, hi-res photo of the brand new 12" Clone Trooper, this one in bilingual Canadian packaging. The U.S. packaging is largely the same.

This is only a Photoshopped mockup of what the 6" Black Series Artoo will look like, but will probably be very close to the final product due in stores this coming fall.

If the real thing looks even half this good I might just get two of him.

Think of the possibilities for larger and more screen-accurate droid tools you can attach to this guy!

I really hope we do some attachable or pop-out tools for R2. He's gonna be smaller than the rest, so they really should justify the price.

I think they probably will. Even 3.75" Artoos in recent years have had pop-open panels and assorted tools even though they were very small and screen accuracy could be hard to achieve. The Vintage Collection (VC25) Artoo with the Sail Barge glasses and gear was exceptional for its scale and really brought a lot to the table....I hope a larger 6" droid will come with even more options for the $19.99 plus tax we'd be spending to get him.

:(

Evil Bilbo has finally done it- he pushed good Bilbo off the printer:

Meanwhile, Hulk smashes Loki again on my desk...

My old Smurfs (found while cleaning up) invaded:

So Hasbro's tradition of a collector line and a kids line will continue. Only this time, it sounds like the kids line will be total garbage, and completely without the odd gem for collectors.

Sounds like it. Looks like what sporadic value the Movie Heroes figure line had is about to disappear and be replaced by cheap junk that will clutter dollar stores.
