The Action Figure and Toy Collecting and Discussion Thread!

McFarlane has announced a new line of 3" DC action figures (with punch/kick action) called Page Punchers. They also come with a comic book and are priced at $ 9.99. First series has Black Adam (Endless Winter), Batman (Hush), Superman (Rebirth) and The Flash (Flashpoint):

So here for these. Feel like modernized versions of the old Super Powers line. I'd hope there will be more, but I'm not that hopeful, considering McFarlane will lose the DC lincence next year.

Cool figures, but... argh, three inches? What an odd size. Smaller figures are usually 3.75" or sometimes 4" (and the latter gets on my nerves because the 4" figures are too tall next to all my 3.75" figures).

McFarlane just has to be different, I guess. It was annoying enough that they picked up the "DC Multiverse" line after Mattel lost it but made it in 7 inch scale instead of continuing the 6 inch scale like the dozens of figures that were previously released under that banner by Mattel.

McFarlane has always done things slightly different but it also may be a cost thing for them.

I usually prefer the bigger, more detailed figures, like the Marvel Legends, Star Wars Black Series, or DC Multiverse, but those are actually pretty good for small figures.

A Vintage Collection Anakin Skywalker from Attack of the Clones was revealed this morning. It's a 2013 Black Series figure updated with Real Photo technology on the head and a soft goods robe. I like that cardback a lot.

Hopefully it's that weird robe thing he had one for that super fun scene where he murdered all the Tusken Raiders.

I wish we had more Horizon Zero Dawn merchandise, or any for that matter. I can't find a nice Aloy figure except for a small one I got in 2019 that's about 6 inches

Open Shirt Jeff Goldblum with a display and stand from the movie and electronic light and sound effects. You may not have asked for it, but you've got it. And you'll buy it.

I almost got a Star Wars Vintage Collection "Axe Woves" on pre-order. I saw that Target had them up for pre-order again this morning, so I clicked the button and added it to my shopping cart/basket/whatever. Then when I logged in to complete my purchase, it was gone and when I went to the item listing it said it was sold out!

Axe may be a problem coming up for those who want him. While Migs Mayfeld and Koska Reeves in the same Target-exclusive wave have already been acquired by some overseas collectors not a soul on YouTube has reported getting the Axe Woves figure. A friend who collects and I think there may be a production issue with Axe and that's why there are so many issues with him.

It looks like stateside collectors are already getting the Fennec Shand TVC figure, and some have the Deluxe Boba Fett. But the site I ordered from (a very well-known retailer) still shows their release dates a couple months out! :scream:
