Also, more snow pictures!

Outtake when they fell over:

And this is what the poor snowman looked like the next day:

I got this at Target tonight, originally $44.99 and it was on clearance for $13.49. I think that is an excellent deal.

This was sitting on a peg, I wonder how long it will rot here until it’s put on clearance.

Would not count on him getting clearanced - I doubt he will sit on the pegs for long. Toy Photographers will certainly have a field day with Jar Jar.

Jar Jar will definitely sell better and out a lot quicker than the Luke/Yoda 2-pack has. Never underestimate the popularity of Jar Jar even if people like to say they don't like him.

Star Wars is pretty popular again right now. And with popularity come the scalpers. I don't see any figures clogging the pegs anytime soon. Not even Jar Jar. :) Anyway:

Star Wars: Rebels-Collage number seven.

Probably because some fans will buy it just to "film" it being melted, blown up or bludgeoned with a hammer as Ashens did to a dancing JarJar in this clip!

The chat with Tim was awesome! I can only recommend everyone doing one of those! Also I watched a lot of other people's videos with Kate on Twitter. They are all so nice.

I rewatched my favorite Tuvok episode in preparation for it - "Riddles". Love to see Tuvok carefree and smiling! So different, such brilliant acting. Here's the scene with him smelling the flowers in sickbay.

You talked with Tim Russ?!?!? How cool!

Yes! Would you like to see my video? I can send the link in a PM.
I chose him as I thought he would be a calming presense for my nerves and it worked ;)
I bought 4 minutes instead of just 2 and it was good for a longer chat. I started with telling him that I saw him in "The Orville" first and asked how many times they had to film that WTF moment. He laughed ;)

More snow pictures!

"Kathryn? What are you doing there?"
"Making a snow angel!"

Then Kathryn pulled Chakotay down and they continued to roll around in the snow, snogging.

Side effect of rolling around in the snow.

"Let me help brushing that snow off your back."
"Thank you, Kathryn."

"Hey! Why are you just standing there! Let's have a snowball fight!"

The Doctor is experiencing snow for the first time in his life.

Yes, please- that would be amazing!

Today we had fresh snow and I took my Stargate and SG-1 out for some snow pictures. I haven't done anything with them for years.

"Daniel, dial us out!"

"Sir, it will take a while for me to fix this."

"Let's give them back that weather stone!"

I even made a camera move! This needs proper sound but otherwise it does look like a proper scene, doesn't it? ;)

Did they make a toy MALP or did you make it yourself?
They made it! They were really good with adding pieces of accessories with each figure. First you got pieces for the gate, then the ramp, the DHD, the ring transporter and also the MALP. So you had to buy more and more figures. Totally worked with me, originally I only wanted one single Jack (I was new to action figures at the time). Look how that turned out LOL

But on the weekend I made a console for Tuvok!

I got the prints from the Voyager Illustrated Handbook:

My materials - just cardboard and a wooden stick from candied apples:

I split it in two halves, it is for the round edge at the front of the console:

To hide the ugly cardboard sides, I added tape:

Result of the first day:

But then I realized the console should be at an angle and also the top, so I added triangles in the corners to keep the shape:

And then I got ambitious and instead of just glueing the printed display to the top of the cardboard, I wanted it to be inserted. Which meant adding another layer and destroying my perfectly flush top to have it flush with the front:

See, all cardboards. The prints go behind to give an edge around:

Looks good but there is this ugly gap between the cardboard and the wooden stick:

So I created some kind of apron from paper and sprayed it with the same grey paint and wrapped it around to give a smooth surface.
Yesterday I did it with newspaper which was so thin it cracked when I glued it. And instead of trying again, I tried to spray over it and with that destroyed the whole printed display. So I had to wait till today for printing a new one:

I also added plastic foil to make the displays more shiny.

I'm very proud of it! He will also get his front console but since this was so much work I did not finish that yet.
