There's the mention of Hinduism in "Data's Day"

Not to mention references to Earth-based religious practices by Phlox in "Cold Front(ENT)."

Bajorans were pretty religious.

Forgive me, I haven't yet seen TNG, DS9 or ENT. And I only have seen TOS once, back in 2015. I do seem to remember Kirk talking about there not being any God, or am I remembering it wrong? That's what I was getting at.

On Tumblr someone also mentioned the TOS Christmas party and of course, how could I forget that!

I grew up in East Germany. Religion was (mostly) not a thing there anymore. It wasn't in our family. I did wonder as a child how weird it was to still celebrate Christmas.

So here's me, still posting shippy pictures ;) How about a sleigh ride?

I had to cheat there, as his arms were too short and her legs were too long. So I put the sleigh on a "hill" and bent her legs to the backside to get them out of the way.

My family hasn't been religious since before I was born, yet Christmas is probably my favorite holiday. And there's nothing wrong with that. It's older than Christianity, after all.

Yeah, I got that when I got older. But as a child I really was puzzled about it.

So, continuing with the Christmas spirit - how about a gingerbread contest?

Which team did best?

Team 1: Harry & Tom - "The Sugar Palace"

Team 2: Kathryn & Chakotay - "Classic Gingerbread House"

Team 3: B'Elanna & Seven - "Engine and mini house"

These cups once held white powder to make snow with (by adding water). Just when I wanted to throw them away today I realized I could use the lids as table cloths.

This little house I made as a child for my grandmother. I took it after she'd died. I still love it!

Love B’Elanna’s engine!

The lid/tablecloths- clever!

Awwwwwww. The mini house for your Nana. Is it polymer clay?

It is made from Suralin, which was the East German equivalent of FIMO. It's a clay that can be hardened in the oven when you are done. Is that what you mean?

Introduction: A while ago I saw pictures of Ofelia from "Pan's Labyrinth" but didn't know the movie yet. Finally I have watched it and promptly ordered the figure. I never learn LOL
She comes with the stone, you even can take the eye out! Plus fairies, key and book.

Not sure if this counts, but here's a slew of photos I took of my Toy Biz Deluxe Electronic Talking Gollum figure. He looks so lifelike, and I was really able to bring out the style from the opening of "Fellowship of the Ring" that I was going after.

Today I finally finished the Kermit for Ed. I had started in March last year but then a pandemic hit... The limbs are made from Suralin from my East German childhood, which is like FIMO a clay that can be hardened in the oven. I mixed green and yellow to get the right color. Then I connected them with wire so it is poseable. The exact right color for the collar came from a flyer that advertised the cleaning of curtains. I think the arms are a bit too long so I may re-do them. But otherwise I love him!

New Vintage Collection scores tonight! A friend and I split a case assortment of the new Moff Gideon Wave we tracked down at a local Walmart and each got one of the Rogue One Vader, Gideon and Beskar Mandalorian. We split the one-per-case figures between us, him the Armorer and me the Captain Rex.

Do they fight over who gets the darksaber? :)

Happy Holidays! Kermit is wonderful! Wired for movement? You’re a real Ghepetto!

Are those custom made Orville figures? I looked for Orville action figures on Amazon after I saw your other post, and all I got was these tiny little things from Whiz Kids that barely even look like the characters.

Thank you! I'm really happy how he came out!

Happy New Year! Aw, thank you! At first I tried to form the clay around the wire, but that did not go well. So I made single parts and then connected them afterwards. Sometimes you need a plan B!

I do have the Whiz Kids and I do pictures with them but I had hoped to be able to remove the bases somehow as it is difficult to hide them.

But yeah, sadly there are no proper action figures yet. It is my biggest wish that either Diamond Select Toys or NECA pick those up. I guess the show does not exist long enough already and they don't see the money in it.

I only have customized Ed so far but I want to make him a Kelly at least. I can't see myself making Isaac or Bortus, but there is someone called Folkenstal on Twitter and Instagram who has made them and they look amazing! She has done the whole Ed office, with desk and shelf-in-the-wall and everything.

If you have enough money, I also know someone who does this for a living and you can order figures via his website. He mostly does Stargate but I have seen Ed and Kelly too.

I made my Ed from a Spike figure so he is about 6". I still had that head lying around from another custom figure and searched for a fitting body. I don't like how he is always looking at the ground, I hadn't realized that the neck was so weird. I had to cut a lot of stuff away and add other stuff with Milliput.

I also gave him different hands.

And used real cloth! This cloth is from 1989, where I was given it to wave with it at an East German demonstration. I never throw anything away!

And this is what my desk looks like when I am in creating mode ;)

I also made the Bolodon Disk game with Shrinky Dink:

Wow, you are really talented.
As for dream figures, I've always been really impressed with McFarlane's stuff and would love to see them do The Orville.
