The Action Figure and Toy Collecting and Discussion Thread!

Actually, I'm slightly off. We have a TrU and a BrU, and it's the latter that's closing soon. Whew.... :rommie:

Our TRU is staying open for now. We service a metro area of around 350,000 people and we're the only TRU within at least a 40-mile radius so closing this store would be just plain idiotic considering that TRU needs a footprint in this area and still gets a lot of foot traffic on a weekly basis.

"Gotham" fans are wondering if Alfred is homeless now that Bruce has fired him. I wonder if he does not have any money that he needs to live in such a crappy part of the city. Or maybe he just does not care anymore. I want to note though that his shoes are way too shiny for living on the street ;)

It's actually an interview with Ben McKenzie but shows us a new scene from when "Gotham" will return in March. And it makes me want to hug Alfred. Poor guy! That body language and face says it all. Very well acted, Sean!

So I got inspired big time and made this picture. I knew buying that Spiderman playset some weeks ago with the bridge would come in handy some day!

After an absence from store shelves of nearly five years the Vintage Collection is returning to the 3.75" Star Wars action figure line in 2018. Super-articulated 3.75-inch figures will no longer just be Walmart exclusives. The fans and collectors are finally getting our wish. After a five-year absence Vintage figures are returning and I cannot wait to see them again. :)

Perhaps we'll get some properly articulated Star Wars Rebels characters. Unless they're just repackaging older figures from the Vintage Collection.

Some will be straight repacks of the Walmart 3.75" Black Series figures. The Rey(Jakku) figure in the line that was used to advertise the return of the Vintage Collection looks like the Walmart-exclusive figure repacked on a new TVC card.

Introducing Nathan Drake (a computer game character for those that are ignorant like me) by Neca whom I only bought for one reason: To get the weapon holster for Alfred. But now I can't bring it over me to cut him up as he really looks nice.

He comes with grappling hook and other great accessories and a second headsculpt. Plus, and this is important, if you move him around, his shirt rides up and reveals a belly! The shirt is rubbery. Isn't that nice? And you can put the weapon into the holster, and there is a hole at his side where you can put the rolled up grappling hook.

One thing that has surprised me involves those pre-assembled and pre-painted Ertl model kits of the 1701-D with electronic lights and sold for $100. They do the nacelles, Bussard collectors, impulse engine, etc, but never the windows. Why not? A bunch of pre-made light-up white LED windows would complete an otherwise 85% cool model.

Improvement. Lap restraint padding detail added to Grissom science chair.

Introducing: Accoutrements “Lunch Lady.” Those superheroes have to eat sometime, right? And which Doctor Who fan is the first to tell me which scene I can do with this? ;)

You can fold up the board, you can take off her scoop, and there are also lunch stickers for the boxes.

Also, Wolverine chopped some wood!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

I love dark Alfred whom they said that we will be getting later this season, but I certainly also love funny Alfred! And this line from "Gotham" episode 4x01 was an instant classic. Selina was balancing on a wall high above ground, and said to Bruce that if he wants to talk to her, he needs to come up as well. So he did.

Enter Alfred without missing a beat and apparently caring much: "Honestly you two, why can't you just go to the cinema like normal teenagers?"

And the fandom LOLed and there were gifs and life was good ;)
