The Action Figure and Toy Collecting and Discussion Thread!

Continuing the subject of sci fi bedding, I have one of my own. I found this nice soap dish at a thrift store for 20 cents. And with the help of my mom, we were able to turn it into a nice little sci fi style bed. And someone has already claimed it for himself.

I just got back from the hardware store with great diorama fodder. I bought a few sheets of rafter vent as it makes for a great budgetary sci fi wall. I also got a set of undergravel filters for a fish tank and it makes for a great (no pun intended.) grated floor. Here's a quick rough test. I can't wait to paint them.

Wow, that is absolutely amazing! I have to browse these stores again!

How about some boxing?

And these are titled "It's life Jim, but not as we know it."

Thanks! I love finding stuff like this. Meanwhile, I've recently got something else that would serve as a great diorama backdrop. My mother recently brought home this Copper Chef packaging and as soon as I saw it, my mind went to work.

I was reading some stuff about Kenner's classic Super Powers line from the '80s. It was a pretty good toyline overall for its era, which makes the introduction of the Justice Jogger all the more mind boggling. :rommie:

OK here's Wonder Woman. I am not taking this one out of the box. I will get another but from what it looks like it won't stand up without a stand or something to hold it up. I have some of those stands with the long bendy arm used to pose figures but they take up more space then a figure would. I might resort to getting another one and using glue to glue the feet to a sheet of plastic as a base.

BTW there are 4 figures in this set and if you get them all they have added parts to build a figure of Ares.

Getting better and better!

Finally wave 4 of Diamond Select Toys "Gotham" figures has arrived in Germany - Azrael, Freeze and Dr. Strange.

Azrael has several swords and a weapon case that opens and closes. His shoulder pads move freely to give his arm free range. You also can switch his head to the hood.

Freeze looks awesome, comes with two freeze guns and cartridges.

Both come with pieces to the repainted balcony and fire ladder. Originally we were supposed to get the police precinct holding cell with them but apparently it was impossible to make. I would have loved that one.

Strange comes with this awesome chair (it doesn't move), certificates and books. The thick book opens and closes. Sadly I can't take off his glasses. Would like to make thinner wire ones. The Toys R Us version came without them so I thought they were removeable.

The new wave of Black Series 6" figures that features Rose, Supreme Leader Snoke and Jaina Solo from the old EU is starting to surface at big box retail. I have yet to see the new figures myself but store reports have been coming in of collectors managing to score the new wave assortment or at least see one figure from it, so if you need these be sure to hit your local retailers!

Just saw a Thrawn a few minutes ago, but I don't know if he's new, and I've stopped collecting 6" figures.

He's recent but not brand new. He was released two waves ago and on Force Friday in September.

Okay.

I know of a lot of people that had ordered Snoke at Gamestop (I think) that have already received them, but I don't know about the others.

The Snoke at GameStop is an exclusive that comes with his throne. The one in the Jaina Solo Wave assortment is just the figure by himself.
