The Action Figure and Toy Collecting and Discussion Thread!

I love this! He looks very dead indeed, face-down like that. Great picture! I have the gurney as well, I bought the Mulder and Scully figures just for that ;)

What do you think of the new 7" Diamond Select Mulder & Scully?

Are the Doctor Who Playmobil figures real?

That last picture you posted in the snow is also awesome! Great angle also.

You're most welcome and No I didn't bother to collect the DST X-Files figures. I don't recognize their outfits and thing they look off honestly. And as far as I know those playmobil figures are real. I re-read the post by Action Figure insider and Playmobil is working with Funko on them. And lastly thanks again. :) You're Dr. Who pictures are stunning and look like real promo photo's from the show. Very well done.

Thank you @CaptainMurdock!
I didn't realize when I posted the pictures of the Doctor in Dresden, but today is the 71st anniversary of the destruction on February 13th in 1945. Right now my window is open to hear the bells from all the churches, which ring every year at the time the bombing started, 10 minutes to 10.

I thought the producers of Playmobil once said they'll never do fandom stuff (like Superman and the like) as these are only shortlived, but they want to do things that are timeless - like nurse, fireman, pirates, etc. That's why I was so astonished to hear about the Doctor Who line. Maybe there has been a change in management.

I may buy the new X-files figures depending whether the accessories are worth it. But I want to wait for a review and pictures of those. They are not out yet. I wonder why they did not come out when the series started, would have made more sense.

Oh, and I forgot to mention in my previous post - I'm 42 - the answer to all questions in the universe :D

But I also did something funny today, as we know, the Enterprise has a bowling area, Kevin Riley told us so in the episode "The Naked Time". But we never get to see it - until now ;)

A ton of new Transformers stuff reveled today. All of the Generations toys were ones that we knew about through leaks weeks or months ago, but it's exciting seeing them for the first time.

A bunch of impressive stuff, but for me the absolute winner is Mindwipe. He looks freaking amazing. His wings roll up to become his legs!

Other surprise reveals:

RiD Warrior-class Windblade and Skorponok
The TakaraTomy exclusive RiD Voyager-class Grimlock is bing brought over as Platinum release 2-pack.

Nah, don't like Mindwipe. Too bright and colourful.

My version of him was the F117 stealth plane, nice and black and more fitting. Only after much play one of the legs has gone wonky and he won't stand up any more. There's a bit of plastic around the knee area that's supposed to hold the hinge in but it's gone wonky.

Cool. All of the improved figures look pretty good IMO, though I haven't yet made up my mind on the Powermaster retool of Prime. I'll keep an open mind on him. I've always wanted an improved version of G1 Scourge.

So do the 6" Black Series Snowtrooper and AT-AT Driver. Her soft goods notwithstanding, Princess Leia might be awesome if the final retail version of her figure has good facial paint apps and doesn't look as goofy as the 6-inch Slave Leia often did.

All of the new 6" figures look pretty great even if some of their soft goods could use a little tweaking to look better.

I'm disappointed by Jakks world of Nintendo showing. Nothing new on the 4 inch line, a few new 2.5 inch figures but the rest of them are repaints. And the rest of their showing is new plushies and now they are making their microland line into Blind boxes. That's going to sell well... :wtf:

I know it's only the first day so I'm hoping they will reveal something new with the 4 inch line which is their biggest seller.

No it's classic Ghostbusters! Man that diorama looks awesome. My wallet is going to be hurting collecting all of those. What scale are those figures 6 inch or 3 3/4 scale?

She does look pretty cool. We're finally getting two different Sabines with removable helmets (including a 3.75" figure with 5-POA) and knowing the fans this one will be hard to find in stores.
