While on a trip to TRU, I successfully navigated around some dude who was probably willing to commit fat sweaty murder over a few six inch Star War black TFA snow trooper officers, and snagged the Jakks Pacific eighteen inch four pack for $56. It was selling for $75 earlier in the year. They are great SW toys for little kids.

I have yet to see the new 6" Snowtrooper Commander at my Toys 'R' Us but I did score the Darth Vader/Ahsoka 2-pack based on Rebels at Target. It's very impressive for a set of 5-POA figures because the paint apps are just plain stunning for sculpts with this limited tooling. This new Ahsoka is easily one of the best toys of her character that's ever been released by Hasbro.

I don't mind the sides of the saucer and the top but the bottom is just wrong in so many ways, not just that they can't do it justice with it being blocks.
What building sets did Hasbro make for Star Trek?
Kind of looks like ablative armor or a form of 22nd century polarized hull plating.
Also bricks gain weight when joined together so how is that neck holding the weight of the saucer? I'd be interested in reviews when this hits the market.
Some of that Megablox Enterprise looks photoshopped. I don't know if it was made to look like the 60's effects but that Nacelle look like a screen grab. The saucer section is obviously Megablox but the rest looks like an edited still from the original Enterprise itself.

That's a fantastic display with some cool items. I really like the TOS phaser and those miniature figures.
I thought it might be a higher-end replica with working sounds and lights, but a remote control shaped like a phaser would also be a cool thing to own.
The Mega Blok Enterprise does have lights in the nacelles..

I never owned the Defiant CD player but I've seen pictures of it over the years. It looked better than most portable CD players of the '90s did!
It basically is a higher-end replica with lights and sounds, it just also happens to be a gesture-operated universal remote control at the same time. The Wand Company laser-scanned the last surviving hero prop, owned by Greg Jein, and did a pretty faithful job reproducing it exactly (colors and all); there's a few minor inaccuracies here and there for manufacturing purposes, but it's one of the most accurate - if not the most accurate – phaser prop replicas ever sold.
Basically the Wand Company is targeting prop collectors with their releases, they just don't have a licenses to make and sell "prop replicas" as such, so they're using their "novelty remote control" license to get around it. Pretty clever, really. They did the same thing with the 10th, 11th, and 12th Doctor's sonic screwdriver remotes they make.
That's pretty smart and clever marketing. I like the concept.
It also has the advantage that, since these are remotes, sites like ThinkGeek are willing to carry and sell them to a mass market to just want a cool trinket, which allows unlimited runs and helps keep the prices down.

It's the first mass-market TOS comm to ever get the shape of the body correct, as Wand had access to the "Alpha" hero communicator to take scans. Before this, all licensed comm replicas had been derived from the Master Replicas communicator made back in the early 2000s, which is notorious in the prop community for its "fat bottom" shape, e.g. way too thick and tapered.

When I got to work yesterday there was a garage sale going on. I got the Animal Planet Polarland playset, which is no longer in stock, for $3. You may recall TRU was clearancing this out at $4/$5 about 4 years ago. Mine is missing 2 of the penguins, but I don't care so much about that.
