The Action Figure and Toy Collecting and Discussion Thread!

Which stands are you talking? There's plenty of different companies making different stands. Usually you can't just buy a set of stands at Wal-Mart, and you also usually can't buy just one. You'll have to buy a set of them through online toy retailers.

Yes, thanks for that:) But now I'm wondering if it would be possible to put sticky tack on the bottom of the feet and stick it on the stand it came with? Would that work? The little bit of plastic that the one of the feet goes on to broke off.

^ It's possible depending on the weight and balance of the item. Be careful with the kind of sticky that you use. Some of them will cause the plastic to melt over time. I use something called Zots to secure my figures to their bases. A friend works for a local museum and this is what she uses to put together artifact displays because they are non-reactive.

I love OdoWan's Funko Bruce Campbell/Ash figure. I'd forgotten they'd made one from the Evil Dead trilogy. They really nailed his famous eyebrow and the facial expression, even for a tiny cartoon figure with wildly exaggerated body proportions. :)

Thanks! How do I figure out what size to get?

Picked up an interesting figure today. NECA couldn't secure the rights originally to do a proper movie Keaton Batman in 6" scale (though that was fixed and one will be out soon) so they made the mold and gave it a paint job to make it look like the NES video game based on the movie. What results is a rather unique looking Batman that is pretty cool to have in my collection:

I don't collect Hot Toys, but that looks simply amazing. It'd be hard to come up with a better Star Wars shelf display involving just two figures.

I remember seeing the same kind of paint job done to a Friday The 13th Part 3 Jason action figure. They made it look like the one from the NES game.

Yeah, Hot Toys certainly does separate the collectors with deep pockets from the ones that don't. I just can't spend that kind of money on something like that. So today I went to the mall I bought Link action figure from Zelda at Target and went in the Toys R Us express found and bought me a Snow Trooper Commander.

The Snowtrooper Commander is a great Black Series figure. I don't see many of him in stores at all.
