My first case of the final wave of The Vintage Collection just showed up!

I know a guy who has his family entertainment room decked out as his Star Wars shrine. On the entire left side of the wall is a huge 20' mounted case that has 4 layers per section and is mirrored so you can see the figs backs. Each of the 5 sections is mounted end-to-end for one long affect. It starts with the orig figs from the trilogy and moves through each film. He and I were talking after all this Episodes 7-9 announcement and he reiterated the sentiment I'm reading by here and by other die hard SW collectors. Crap another 10-15yrs of figs easily....where will I put them? I told him his book shelves on the other side of the wall need a new home apparently. He thinks his wife wouldn't go for both walls as a shrine to plastic action figures. Imagine that. ;)

So far I can confine almost all of my collection to just one room, but I have the luxury of keeping certain items in plastic storage tubs with lids to save some space. Yeah, the 2015-2025 period for collecting is going to be hectic, possibly moreso than the Prequel era of 1999-2005 was since the Sequel Trilogy will have more beloved and classic characters than Episodes I, II and III and might be received a whole lot better by the fans.

I'd be lying if I said I hadn't wondered about Disney buying Hasbro after they took over Lucasfilm (Hasbro and - before it - Kenner have been the primary toy and collectible makers for SW since 1977-78) and it might be a possibility in the future, but for right now I'm gonna agree with C.E. and call it a Web rumor and nothing more.

Just got the confirmation my second case of Vintage Wave 16 will be here today! Sweet. I was worried at first it might be hard to score an online exclusive wave (and the last one for the next couple of years) that has a more limited production run, but it's been a piece of cake for the most part. It's looking for most 2012 figures in stores that's been a ginormous pain in the butt.

I got my second case of Vintage Wave 16 on Election Day right after voting. I love that new Emperor's Royal Guard and the Old Republic Trooper...heck, I love 'em all, even the Walmart "Discover the Force" repacks.

How the Brian's Toys-exclusive Jocasta Nu and her accessories will be packaged inside their hinged box:

And a hi-res closeup of her cardback reverse:

Hawkeye fell off my shelf and has black marks on him that I can't get off. :( No idea what the stuff is.

Rory wonders what hobbitses taste like, Precious? :p

I have to admit, I always found Jocasta Nu a rather lame character, even as a briefly supporting character. :p Not sure I'd give her a figure if it were me.
