Horta02.jpg
so aaaaaa how long is spock going to look like that? and is it permanent or can we.. / you fix his face back to normal?? find out in the next episode of ... "ACTION-FIGURE" .. :) hehe. it looks like he needs prune juice.. :)

Yes, I was surprised to see the ponytail. I had expected the helmet ;)
It kept falling off so I had to glue it. I think I also will make a golden barrette for her.
These are 9" so won't go well with my 12" ones sadly. There is also a 12" Janeway in a Captains series but not the rest of the team.

Thank you!

ROFL Now that you said that, I'll HAVE to.
I was planning innocent action shots with phaser and other weapons.

Remember when Kirk was called "Stack of books with legs" in the Academy? I bought this stack of books especially for him:

And that's me on the right side! I let myself scan and print in 3D so I could be a part of my action figure world.

When I started to collect these figures in 2015 I was lucky that the TOS gang had just been re-relased so I was able to get them for fair prices. The Wrath of Khan figures though were very expensive. I paid 150 bucks for Bones alone as he was a convention exclusive. Saavik is still missing as I refuse to pay the ridiculous prices they ask for her.

Am I the only one that thinks they would make a good marching band? LOL!

Gotta look for the Janeways!

I love that you’ve got an action figure of yourself! That’s awesome!

I will never be able to see TWOK era uniforms the same way again and I embrace it!:rommie::rommie::rommie:

I added this to my collection today.

I don’t imagine they made a lot of those. Is it rare? Poor guy- even his helmet couldn’t save him from dying terribly.

It's a 2019 figure but it was released as part of an online-exclusive 3-pack of Jabba's Skiff Guards so I imagine the production run of each figure in the set was smaller than that for a regular retail figure in the Vintage Collection(the line to which this figure belongs, referring to the mimicry of the original Kenner action figure packaging of the 1970s and '80s).

Lol - I don’t even remember the packaging. We could never get the popular toys like Luke, Leia, Han and Darth Vader -we ended up with that lizard headed guy and the hammer headed guy and a bazillion storm troopers. I want to say we had the Peter Cushing one too. Who wants an action figure of an old guy? Yeah we wish we’d kept them but they got played to death and fought over all the time and I have a very definite memory of having to dig a one-legged storm trooper out of the driveway after it got run over. I remember being mad I couldn’t find a Salacious Crumb. I don’t even know if he was ever made back then. Fun days.

ETA: who knew Boba Fett was gonna be big? We had like three of those.

Salacious Crumb was made back then but you had to buy the Jabba the Hutt figure to get him.

LOL Sorry ;)

I got even two! I told the guy I would not know how to pose, and so he came up with the photographer pose. So now I can photograph my figures on eye level!

The Federation's Own! :)

Cool. How was that process?
The scanning itself goes very quickly, just a few seconds. Then they check on a monitor if everything went alright (my curls proved to be a problem) and do it again if necessary. My glasses had to be handcrafted though, they do not scan well.

Then I had to wait 3-4 weeks for the result. They even made a second one and put me into their shopping window ;) I loved especially the grandmother in there, reading a fairytale to the grandchildren.
The guy also told me that a man had let scan his head and then put it on an Ironman figure. I can only recommend it! A bit expensive, but great fun. There are shops like this all over the world.

Today is WorldBicycleDay!

That is a Barbie bicycle that I repainted. Originally it looked like this:

As a collector of Doctor Who action figures, I guess I would. ;)

Come on, I couldn't pass up that observation. It was not only "loaded", but the "hammer" was also pulled back.

Those are wonderful! I love it when you smooshup the fandoms!

I may have to look for a printing service like that- it looks fun! Maybe just a head to put on the action figure of my choice! Here comes Kim-panzee or Kim the actual chicken lady lol.

Today I sculpted in 7" scale. Never again! Original head was Dark Archer / Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman). I added bits to the nose and ears, filled the cheeks, formed cheekbones and changed the hair. At least I didn't have to do anything with the chin. Can you recognize Robert Beltran?

Oops, looks like I missed some comments, sorry.

That Uhura figure would look great in "Mirror" costume
There is one, I hadn't bought her yet. Maybe I should add her to my collection. Here's a picture for you:

Chekov should be on maracas, like Davy Jones
I have no idea who Davy Jones is... And why maracas? I thought the instrument I gave him looked a bit Russian somehow.

We can indeed, we just have to chop his head off ;) He comes with two heads for switching:

I take it you know about the 12" Big Chief Studios figures? So far I only ordered the new Doctors, as I have not seen enough of the classic ones to buy them, but I have the Third Doctor on pre-order. I think he looks really good.

Here's a proper smash-up for you:

There's been a wave of leaked Hasbro stuff over the last 24 hours, but by far the most surprising and interesting to me is this:

Holy shit.

My wife isn't the biggest fan of my Transformers collecting, but she is a fan of Top Gun, so I'm hoping this might have the crossover appeal. ;)

@Astra
Davy Jones was in the Monkees who were huge in 1966/67, Chekov was apparently hired by the studio to encourage a younger audience, and his hair and general look were compared to Davy Jones who was the singer, well one of them.
Jones often used maracas as a percussion prop while voice synching in the TV Series.

Resculpting the figures is WAAAY beyond me. Kudos on your amazing work! Love the Star Trek /Who smashups. And DONNA!!!:adore::adore::adore:

While not figure-specific (it looks like many sets will have their own pilot), I'm getting more and more excited to see Snap Ships officially debut, hopefully in the moderately near future. The goal will be to have a range of cool ships and vehicles, with their parts being modular and interchangeable similar to the flexibility of a system like Lego. If it works as well as some of the prototype stuff has suggested, I imagine it will be awesome. :D

Guys, my picture with Scotty talking into the computer mouse was voted on first place in the competition!

You make a great action figure...
I on the other hand, would look like Y’golonac
ROFL
They also set up a stall at conventions, so people can get themselves scanned in their cosplay costumes. You just need the right costume then ;)

Thank you very much for explaining! Now I see where you are coming from. Because I tried to google Davy Jones and found he is a character in "Pirates of the Caribbean" and that didn't make any sense.

I think this should be done with young Chekov then. When I get him, I'll think of you!

I love Donna as well. If they ever make a 12" figure of her, I'll definitely buy that.
Here are some examples of what I have done before. But face, that's a first. I'll show the result when he's ready.

The ever famous Kirk shoulder rip

Alfred Pennyworth (Gotham)

Got this apron from Wrestling figures, it was brown and the neck holder too long, I shortened and repainted it

Just a headswap for Jim Gordon

I also made better glasses for Hugo Strange

Made a nice dress for Barbara

And a Riddler

Got this coat for Alfred from Dr. Janosz Poha (Ghostbusters)

John Barrowman in concert suit

John Barrowman and his sister Carole. She tweeted she wanted an action figure of her as well so I made and gave it to her. In this clip from "The Morning Blend", they very unexpectedly talk a bit about me and show a picture at 6:55
