The Action Figure and Toy Collecting and Discussion Thread!

I've been gone for too long. I was working on another Action Figure comic but got so caught up with other things I stopped working on it and couldn't really make a good story out of the pictures I have taken. I've gotten a lot of new miniatures and figures recently so here's a little something to show I'm not dead.

That is one of the most epic photos I've seen in this thread in a long time. I love it, especially the Leg Lamp. That is so awesome. If we gave out Major Awards in the thread you'd definitely get one for posting this picture. :)

In other news, I'm getting a new Rebels AT-DP Driver from a collector friend who wanted to give me one. After that I'll be completely caught up until Wave 3 of the Rebels/Saga Legends line begins showing up in my local stores.

I think I love pretty much everything about this.

I can't post the pics at the moment due to a few issues with Photobucket, but the very first carded images of the Black Series (3.75") Dagobah Test Vader figure and the repack of the Wave 2 Stormtrooper on the new TIE Pilot cardback have just been posted over on Facebook.

While the Stormtrooper is just more of the same (and not the best super-articulated Stormtrooper they could have repacked by a longshot) the new Darth Vader based on the spectral Dark Side manifestation inside the cave on Dagobah is pretty nice and looks good. It's the first new "Apparition" Darth Vader figure since late 2000 and the Power of the Jedi figure line. There was a Spirit Vader in a Dagobah Battle Pack during the 2006-07 timeframe but that was a repack and repaint of the earlier POTJ figure.

Yeah, I left Photobucket behind a long time ago. Imgur is where it's at.

So, I had my Lego love rekindled, and have the beginnings of a nice Justice League:

I think it's time to check in on the USS Enterprise's worst plumber. Here we have a candid glimpse of Super Mario enjoying the finer things in life. I wonder if that's a vintage Chateau Picard he's having. ;)

On the bright side at least the Enterprise tries to be ethnically diverse with its maintenance crews. :)

Yes of course. Good thing Luigi isn't around. ;)
Anyway. I recently ordered quite a few items. I purchased the World of Nintendo Bowser figure and a nice Princess Peach figure. I'm not sure if it's official or a bootleg but It's the best Princess Peach figure I have seen available online and the perfect scale too. Among other things, I purchased a lot of miniature accessories ranging from various foods and drinks. And a miniature plasma screen tv so my figures don't have to watch from that little box tv anymore. :D

Found the 6" Yoda yesterday. Hasbro kinda screwed the pooch on this one. First there's the fact that it's less than half the size of a regular figure, but is the exact same price. They could have at least added some larger accessories like they did with Rocket Raccoon.
Then there's the fact that the articulation is worthless. No knee joints at all. No biceps swivels, which means he can't rest both of his hands on his cane. That was pretty much the iconic pose that I wanted for the figure, and I can't even have something as simple as that. The inclusion of a lightsaber is rather perplexing as well for what is clearly an Empire Strikes Back version of Yoda.

For me the biggest issue with the 6 inch Yoda figure is the fact that his eyes haven't been painted correctly. He looks like he's tweaking on some kind of drug and his irises aren't large nor dark enough and that distracts from the overall visual impact of the figure.

Some collectors with great customizing and painting skills have fixed Yoda's eyes and as a result the figure looks a whole lot better. I just wish a major toy giant with millions of dollars of resources would do this in the first place so we wouldn't have to. It's not advanced physics.

Had to get a new computer recently so I have been learning how to make it work right. Here is my first post of a pic with the new equipment. It is an updated Bat clan with new figures Clayface, Solomon Grundy, and Black Mask.

CCC.

That picture just reminds me that, even compared to the other females in the Batverse, Babs really isnt all that strong.. she wouldn't really stand a chance against Batwoman or Catwoman
