The absolute worst film you've ever seen

Didn't MST3K do a screening of "This Island Earth" with funny commentary through the movie? I seem to remember something like that but wasn't sure if it was those guys or not.
Yes, that was the Mystery Science Theater 3000 theatrical feature. Don't know why they chose This Island Earth to riff on, though. It's not a bad movie at all -- in fact, it's generally regarded as a sci-fi classic.

The worst movie I ever saw was Brain Smasher: A Love Story.

The movie that I've seen that was in the worst taste was Game of Death. Showing footage of Bruce Lee's funeral is going too far. Only Bruce Lee's fight with Kareem Abdul Jabbar at the end saves it.

It's a good movie but no movie is not deserving of being riffed.

"Interocitor" Forever that word is etched in my mind for hilarity

For any Bruce Lee fan who still hasn't seen the documentary Bruce Lee: A Warrior's Journey (2000), I can't recommend it enough, especially for its inclusion of a restoration of the pagoda fight sequence, levels 3 through 5, using all surviving footage that Lee intended for the final film, including significant footage left out of the 1978 movie that was thought lost. I find Ji Han-Jae's hapkido on level 4 to be especially amazing.

Yup, I can vouch for that. I have the DVD and it's definitely worth it.

Someone dragged me to see the Gaspar Noe film 'Irreversible'. I wont go into the details of the plot but the film is just abhorrent. It disturbed me so much that I walked out.

The problem these days is that almost anybody can make a low budget horror movie and get a distribution deal for it, the standards for what will be released are almost non existent.

Some friends of mine raised £50,000, blagged a load of equipment, hired C Thomas Howell for 10 grand, and bam, they had a movie. It was awful too, Howell arrived in the UK and then promptly refused to act unless they let him personally rewrite the script so he survived, because "Tommy don't die!". Never mind that I saw him get decapitated in Grimm just two weeks before making this claim.

Anyway, as a result the narrative makes no sense at all, as the character was not supposed to survive, and what was already a bad movie became an unwatchable mess.

The film is called Blood Lust (Siren Song in some territories). Don't watch it.

It was forced on them by the studio. They had to make a lot of compromises to get the movie made.

Battlefield Earth.
Some movies are so bad, they're good in an ironic way. Then there are movies like this one that are just BAD. Torturously, painfully BAD.

Earth to Echo
It wasn't so much that this movie was a cheap knockoff of half a dozen far better films that made it so bad. This film was a health hazard. Literally. The constant "shaky cam" made me so nauseated that I had to leave. :barf:

Pacific Rim 2
Uuuuum what the hell did I just watch? I liked the original but this was trash. The dialogue felt like it was written by schoolkids. Don't scripts get approved before filming begins anymore? Who said "yeah OK" on this one? The speaking parts are terrible.

The action parts are OK and "miracle kid" trope with the girl building her own Jeager and piloting it. Yeah right that's an overused trope since Wesley Crusher first came along.

Oh and as for the plot it sucks

Another vote for Hardware.

Hi Locutus of Bored, CorporalCaptain
Hardware (from Richard Stanley) is my favourite film.
I even have the script for part 2 but I doubt it will ever get made (good for you) :(.

Worst film I've ever seen is probably "Wedding Crashers", it's probably not so bad, but it sums up everything I hate about this type of... entertainment. I was sitting alone on an island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and watched 2 movies that afternoon, the then new Dukes of Hazzard (which was fine for what it was) and Wedding Crashers (left the cinema after half an hour).

Oh no, not at all. Even if I didn't care for a film myself, I'd never want to see the chances for a sequel for fans to enjoy to get squashed. Sorry it never got made. It's not my fault, I swear. Corporal Captain's entirely to blame. ;)

Out of nearly 3000 films I've rated on IMDB 6 garnered a 1/10 from me. Of those 6 these two are likely the award winners:

Return of the Boogeyman (1994)- a film so terrible that I can't even recall most of it... and it's a sequel to a film that was also bad, but not "worst ever" bad.
Slaughtered Vomit Dolls (2006)- unfortunately I remember more about this one... and at one hour and 11 minutes it's short, but not short enough. I want that 71 minutes of my life back.

:ack:
