The A-Team Trailer

I think it's funny that Dwight Schultz and Dirk Benedict are making cameo appearances but it's Mr. T who has refused to return. If I had to pick one of the three, it would have been Dirk Benedict.

Well, the thing is, if the original cast members do cameos, they'd have to be playing different characters. And what other character could Mr. T possibly play? I guess maybe he could be the new B.A.'s father, or maybe a role model that B.A. emulated, but that would kind of take away from the uniqueness of the character.

They should've just have gotten Mr. T. to play BA. I mean, really, even the best performance is going to come off as a pardoy and who else can play Mr. T but Mr. T?

It's a little odd, having seen Mr T in as "Clubber Lang" in Rocky III before the A Team ever existed, to see Jackson playing a character who essentially was created by T before that series and continues to exist as his public image to this day. It's a little more peculiar than replacing William Shatner or Clayton Moore.

Looks great! Loved Murdoch's line on the plane, and Sharlto Copley was a great choice to play him. The rest of the cast looks good as well. I can't wait. :techman:

Mr T was quoted saying that if he wasn't a main character, it was a disservice to his fans and to the other viewers to have him show up in a bit-part and stealing the scene. or something to that effect.

Not really sure I'm feeling Liam Neeson's Hannibal... Course he didn't really say much other than Hannibal's signature line of I love it when a plan comes together... and it didn't really feel right.

Trailer seemed to showcase Face more, maybe focus shifted onto Bradley Cooper with the Hangover doing so well.

I'm pretty sure my reaction to hearing the A-Team was going to be remade/reimagined/redone/whatever was an audible groan, but that trailer looks like it could be big, dumb and fun.

got to admit the new BA sounds more like a hip hop star at times than well BA. When he talk to the car and hits that guy with that door just seems so odd, I just need to get used to this is a modern take on the A-Team.

I loved the A Team growing up and I ocassionally go on Hulu to watch it. I'm so sick of remakes/reboots/reimagines and twhen i heard about this movie I instantly thought it was going to suck. The trailer looks good however and it might actually do it justice like we got with Star Trek. Maybe hollywood is finally getting it, we don't just want our old shows and movies we love back, we want them to be faithfull and well written for the characters. The best thing about it is it comes out on June 11th, which is my birthday. It's a good sign, I now know what i'll be doing for my birthday.

Expecting Neeson to mimic George Peppard is unfair. Yes, Peppard will *always* be Hannibal Smith; however, I expect Mr Neeson to bring his version of Hannibal to the Big Screen and I will warmly embrace it.

I think Neeson has the look down in terms of costuming and the cigar and such. But to expect Neeson just to do a Peppard impression is a disrespect to the talent of both men.

To me, the role that needs to teeter closest to impressionism is that of Murdock. It's a very definable character that brought a lot of charm and wit to the concept, and to go too ridiculous or too serious undermines the character's purpose.

I also think the role that should stray the most from impressionism is B.A. There are definable characteristics the character needs, but to do anywhere near impressionism is really a disservice to the show/movie...because you're not doing an impression of an A-Team character, you're doing an impression of the actor portraying him.
