The 11 Doctors special! Look-alikes of Who?

Considering the amount of trouble they have finding someone who can write a decent story for one Doctor, I can't imagine an 11 Doctor story being any good. For the 50th, McGann's the only one I've an interest in seeing in a multi-Doctor story.

Nobody. It's not just a matter of being a lookalike, it's what each actor brings to the Doctor. Watching someone try to imitate Troughton or Pertwee or Baker would be painful. The Five Doctors was OK at the time, as I'd barely seen any actual Hartnell, but no I find the first Doctor in that makes it painful to watch (which is not Richard Hurndall's fault - he does the best of a misguided idea).
I have had a similar experience when watching the 5 Doctors.

Even better. Have waxworks of everyone. The Doctors, the companions, the villains, the monsters, everyone. Problem solved.

I don't like the idea of recasting. Just do a Four Doctors story with Eight, Nine, Ten, and Eleven (assuming Matt Smith sticks around for that long). Maybe if Smith doesn't want to continue past 2013, have Eleven regenerate into the Twelfth Doctor at the end of the story (I'm assuming it'd be a big season-ending two-parter, mainly because that's how I'd do it).

Well I do think an entire seasonal arc would be great but undoable since that is basically Smith's time as the Doc..

what would be cool is a four part special..

it could center on all the 11 docs together, and maybe even have them break up into teams.. one does one mission, the other theirs, with the 11Th and his companion finishing the job..

as to the point made by others, when I said Lookalike, I also meant they had to be great actors as well.. which I admit will be difficult. but consider the recent JJ Abrams Star Trek as an example of how it can be done, similar, yet not exactly the same.. but enough to make us believe the portrayal and yet those actors would bring some of their own self to the performance.. and going forward it would be interesting to see how this meshed in the 11th doctor's death..

I mean in Tennant's death he got the time lords coming out of the time war, and before that his season 4 finale got davros, and just about the kitchen sink thrown his way..I like that Moffat threw in the Silurians to shake things up, since Tennant got basically all of the coolness in his 3 year stint..even the cyberman versus the daleks..

something we all wanted to see..

so basically an 11 doctors special would be a homage to the past docs, and yet breathing new life into the lore of the doctor in his youth. If done right it would be a great send off for the 11th doctor to his 12th incarnation and could also be a tool to use to round out the 12th's season as he reflects on his past lives, or story arcs..

I was just thinking this would be something kinda cool to contemplate cause it is difficult..

I have to say those "dead Ringer" doctor who clips were freaking hilarious!! :))

While I love the idea of a multi-Doctor story, the very idea of recasting any of the living Doctor actors is offensive. We've already had two reunions with past Doctors where the aging was either blatant (Two Doctors) or addressed with a throwaway line (Time Crash). Every living actor from Tom Baker right up through Tennant is still The Doctor and should not be recast.

BTW, if I ever see a post that suggests recasting Colin Baker, I will personally hunt down the poster, tie them in a chair, tape their eyelids open, and force them to watch an endless loop of Timelash and episodes 2, 3, and 4 of Unearthly Child.

Pah...I'm still hoping the crack eats Six...

On the original subject however, they shouldn't recast a one of them. If they're alive they should play themsevles and if they're not then we should use technology, and if people aren't happy with that then we should never do an 11 Doctor show.

Honestly though if they ever do it needs to be a standalone CIN special, it was difficult enough trying to do a proper story with five(well ok four) Doctors let alone eleven!
