That's when everything changes.. speculation?

I'm still hoping that River goes to prison for killing #11 (for whatever reason) and that #12 will be the first Doctor she meets.

That was my assumption, but it doesn't make sense to already pick an end point for the Doctor.

^ Again I believe that was what we were supposed to think and what was implied by the comment but until it is confirmed through another episode or by Moffat himself it is still speculation on our part as to who she killed. The only fact that we have on that dialogue is that River killed a 'great man' and has/is being punished for it.

River shoots the doctor(That's when everything changes)

The doctor regenerates but somehow leaves a bit of himself behind

The Eleventh Doctor returns

I like the suggestions of both JFK and Rory but yeah those are probably not what happens. As for River having killed The Doctor that is fan speculation only and not been confirmed so we can't state that as fact as a previous poster tried to. Could it be possible for Captain Jack to return? Probably not if they're filming New World at the same time as the cliffhanger.
One thing about all these theories...

River Song is imprisoned in Stormcage for murder in the 51st-century. Unless she was acting as Time Agent (where she could have murdered someone in a different time period and been held responsible for it in her "home" time), whomever she murdered, the "best man" she ever knew, would be in the 51st-century.

That rules out JFK. And unless it's Rory or the Doctor, it most likely rules out anyone we've ever met.

The worst theory I heard on the internet is that she kills the human DT 10th Doctor living with rose  I mean as Moffat would go that way with the story. I do wonder if this killing someone is going to be a complete mis-direction and she actually ends up killing no one important in the end.

keep in mind that Moffet is not going to touch RTD storyline if he can help it. The bast way to guess future events is to eliminate anything in the RTD era that did not involve Moffet (River Song, etc..) or be a big enemy like the Daleks, Cyberman or Sontarans.

She said she killed a good man, not necessarily an important one.

Why on earth has the JFK suggestion gained legs, anyway? Wasn't it said in jest? What the hell does he have to do with anything?

Where has it gained legs? I said that I liked it, then two others dismissed it and pointed out why it couldn't happen. I think it was made due to the American episodes being filmed but who knows.

4.) Omega is returning. As much as I dislike the trend of universe ending threats popping up in every finale since series 4, Omega is probably the most credible in terms of motive and ability. Where Rassilon just suddenly decided to destroy the universe to propel himself and the time lords to further glory, Omega has a history of being a mean SOB that resents the matter universe and the Doctor. Though the destruction of the Time Lords was necessary to protect the universe, the Doctor may have inadvertently left it open to attack from outside.
Re. the part that I've bolded: For an instant I saw that as "508":). "Omega", of course, is Latin for "Final", so maybe he's actually the Doctor's final incarnation (and, of course, the final Time Lord bar Jenny) and River kills him. Alternatively, River might not classify the Doctor (a non-human) as a man at all, so maybe the "best man" she's ever met is subordinate to the Doctor in her estimation.

It's about time we got our zombie season. Katarina, Sara Kingdom, and Kamelion also return.

We know that River tells the Doctor in 'The Big Bang' that everything will change. We also heard Moffet say that after the (shortened) Season 6 finale that everything will change.

What do you think will happen or change??

It means that Captain Jack will make up some vague bullshit to motivate Gwen.:p

The Doctor will decide to take the parking brake off the TARDIS, and leave it off.

I wouldn't mind that. As much as it's an iconic sound, ever since that line in "Time of the Angels," I cringe a little bit every time I hear it now. "No, Doctor! That's not a good sound!"

Why? Don't take that line seriously, it was a joke. The Doctor's TARDIS makes that sound. Always has, always will.

"Take the parking brake off? Blimey River don't you realise the acceleration that a Typre 40 TARDIS has? I tried taking off without it once, Jamie's kilt ended up on Zoe...and the least said about where Zoe's catsuit ended up the better. This old girl's tempremantal, if you're not careful you aim for 12th Century Beijing and end up in 45th Century MAdrid!"

That parking brake line was pathetic. It's like they've not got enough confidence in the show to take it completely seriously, so they approach stuff like that in a postmodern ironic whatever way. It's a real shame.
