That one episode that stands out for you...

I just watched that one tonight, the extended version. I still think it's a great bit of TV.
I can't really say that there's one episode that stands out for me. Measure of a Man has always been one of my favourites but TNG as a whole did a lot of great shows with interesting concepts.
I think it just depends on my mood.
It's hard for me to pick just one, but I'd say Inner Light for how crazy it was to see Picard life an entire lifetime in another world.
Others are The Hotel Royale (one of my favorite episodes ever), Yesterday's Enterprise, Chain of Command, Frame of Mind (another favorite), Identity Crisis (another good one) and Interface (because of how hard it hit me emotionally wise). I could go on really.

Probably All Good Things because I loved it as a kid and even remember trying to find the novelization while on vacation back then. I'm not sure if I even knew it was the last episode.
But also maybe Time Squared just because it reignited my interest after I saw it on reruns a couple years ago which eventually led to me getting the TNG blurays, rewatching voyager, going to comic cons.

The one episode that stands out, if I had to pick it would be "The Best of Both Worlds, Part I". Not saying it's my favourite but I tend to think rather than one episode standing out it's scenes from various episode that stand out. An episode can be fairly average but it has a stand out scene.
I've always had a soft spot for "The Defector"...it had me on the edge of my seat for the first viewing, and I find that despite knowing the ending, the build-up of tension in the episode still holds up in rewatches.
Picard's clever plot and the scene in which it's revealed is legendary for me!

I think that one's underrated. Really solid episode.
'The Wounded' is nice until... O'Brien and Maxwell start singing!
The defector is a very nice epsiode. James Sloyan always a powerful performance and the deactivation of the holodeck is one of the best scenes in Star Trek.
But my standing out episode is "Remember me". It doesn't have the deepest trekkie message possible but I like the idea and it's so nicely done.

That's a great scene! Excellent directing and a nice musical cue at the end.
Ohhh nooo, I love that scene. And yes, I too love that little music cue when Maxwell says: "I've lost this one, haven't I chief." I thought it played so well; I actually found myself singing that tune for hours after the episode.
I had to endure the dubbed version before the internet/dvds. That made the episode really stand out.
"Shall we die together?"
He must have earned some points with the Klingons for that one.
