That 70's Show...

Thespeckledkiwi

Vice Admiral
The re-runs of this show are everywhere currently; right now there are four stations at night that run the syndicate and I have to admit I really, really like the show. They did a wonderful job at casting.

My two favorites are Red and Leo. Using Tommy Chang for Leo was absolutely brilliant. Too bad he wasn't on for the majority of the run but when he was on, he was great =)

Did anyone else like this show?

The first five seasons, yes. After that it slowly slid downhill. Season two is probably my favourite.

Yep, I almost always watch at least one rerun per day.

Just a really good cast, and the ONLY thing I've ever liked Ashton Kutcher in.

didn't things just get....strange in the last season (and I was hoping that "that 70's show" would transition into "That 80's show")

Have to admit the entire cast was really good in their respective parts. Wasn't it one of those shows where everybody was in high school for like 10 years though?

^only if you consider 30 minutes X 21 episodes to equal a year. It's not like they ended each season with the kids getting promoted to the next grade level.

There actually was a "That 80's Show", it lasted about 5 episodes I think. Also, I believe it came out around the 3rd or 4th season of 70's Show.

You know, I loved this show back in high school, during its original run. However, watching the reruns it seems to me that it just doesn't hold up that well.

I watched for the first few years. Eric and his friends were the same age I was back in the 70s. So there was a nostalgia factor. Missed the last few seasons, but I did catch the final episode a few days ago. A nice wrap up.

Ashton from what I read is pretty damn smart.
Yeah he actually went to my high school and some British TV show came to our school to film some footage for a show they were doing about him. They filmed our chemistry class since he was going to go into biochemistry in college. I believe they also interviewed some of the facility that had him as a student.

Also, one of the characters on That 80's Show is Eric Forman's cousin, and thus the two shows are in the same 'universe'.

Red must of been modeled after my dad,

Kurtwood Smith was a perfect choice for that charater.

The moving wall gag was my favorite when they'd smoke a few fatties.
I loved the one where Red, Kitty, Bob & Midge accidently ate the "special brownies" and were pigging out at the end.
