That 1963 Flip-Top Flip-Phone... FACT TREK

That's a reflection of the table, but it does indeed turn on, which is actually quite common, these things were built very well. There's no built-in connector for a wired input (it's portable after all), but I read you can clip one lead to the antenna and the other to the chassis (ground), so I'm going to try that. I really want to get a picture of it showing Star Trek.
Does it/will it tune to VHF?

Look what I bought at an estate sale today for $50

Great find. Envy!

No, they obtained those "futuristic" objects by buying up designs just like this one before they'd become widely-known and widely-distributed*.
Everyone makes fun of this shot now, because the item in
That sprayer still looks futuristic to me. Lots of greebles inside. In the 60’s you had more variety than today. About all passenger craft are twinjets. Cell phones advanced but come the smart phone….it more or less has stayed the same. Musk and in some respects Trek ‘09 brought retro back.

I want smart phone tech in that estate sale find, with blackberry buttons underneath another flap! Electronics are better now…but the housings were better then. Combine them!
