Thank you Paramount, Abrams for believing in Star Trek

I agree with basically everything wrote in this thread, but I'm waiting for this thread to catch fire and burn when the hardcore trekkies hear about this.

"Grab your pitchforks lads! We've got fresh meat".

Besides, if the film completely sucks (which as far as the reviews I've see say, it doesn't). We still get a brand new Trek, doesn't matter if the crew is re-cast, or if they were all made of sockpuppets, we still get a new Trek.

Who knows what possibilities this may have, since the complete failure of Enterprise being the last Trek TV show, and before that Voyager which ruined the Borg for me, and ofcourse the TNG movies, where the last two apparently flopped (Insurrection I can see why, but I liked Nemesis).

We may even get a new TV show out of it, but probably a film.

Ours is the franchise that has defied the odds, time and again. This looks like it will be her third resurrection. Caring people who believed in her have revived her time and again.

And, every time, there's always been a wacky few who have raged at "their" show being defiled.

History repeats itself. But the balance, in the past, has been good, more mostly quality Trek.

Here's to history.
