Terry O'Quinn comments on the future of Locke *SPOILERS*

I just checked and it's no longer there. I guess you could take it as a wikipedia thing (and never was true) or it got removed because of spoiler policy. Who knows?

Oh. Geez.

What if dead Jacob takes over dead Locke's body (that's why what'shername had to bring Locke's body to Richard) - and Esau is also in a deadLocke body. Then everyone is going to be so confused as to which is the good Locke and which is the bad Locke.

That actually would be pretty ambitious. I was both excited and impressed when Farscape did something similar to that, although I would say Farscape was more ambitious in that manner considering the circumstances. I only just wished it lasted longer.

I was just skimming over the Jacob parts of the finale--I was bored--and noticed something that Jacob says to Locke after he falls out of the building that could be significant:

"Everything's going to be okay. I'm sorry this happened to you."

I can't help but think that this isn't exactly referring to his broken back. Hope that we'll see the real Locke again?

Would I be right in saying everything that has happened over the past 5 seasons has been the result of someguy wanting to kill Jacob...now thats a patience bastard and genuis . But if true then is Jacob not responsible for bringing them to the island in the 1st place but maybe learn't of his demise and used his apparant non time linear ability to set in motion the return of the LOSTIES to the island to be his future ace in the hole in season 6...After all
Jacob's final words are a warning to the man: "They're coming

dam am so LOST but I love this show...If am anywhere near the truth then Christian ghosts & Claire are Jacob or allies of Jacob and Alex + [ossibly the smoke is the other dude or again allies of the other dude. Whats his name again am sick of calling him other dude can't remember it.

I do think that jacob's enemy "we'll call him Max" and ol' smokey are one in the same. My guess is that both Jacob and Max are some kind of shapeshifters or spirits or something. I think Christian Shephard is a form that Jacob has taken several times and that Max has taken on the forms of Smokey, Locke, Eko's brother, Walt and Alex.

Whether it's via Jacob's meddling seen through flashbacks in 'The Incident,' or like you say, through a third-party, I agree that some work has been going on to alter the timeline. I can't quite work the logistics out in my head, but I think we might see stories alternating between two different timelines, pretty much like how they alternated between the island and the Oceanic Six in seasons four and five.

Or at least that was my crazy theory a few weeks ago when the series ended.

See, if Jacob had some sort of role in bringing the O6 back to the island in Dharma times, and Jack and co. did reset the timeline, then the new timeline will exist where Oceanic 815 will land in LA, and Jacob will still be alive. Yet we still may see the timeline where Locke is not-Locke, Jacob is dead, etc.

I don't even know if they would go there though.

I agree mostly with MarauderMo's assessment of who Max () is, but I wonder about Christian and Walt. They were both influences on Locke somehow, and since we know Locke ended badly, maybe they were both 'Max?'

It is - was Esau that was Jacob's brother in the bible? Blimey, that's going back a bit.

Max is much more understated, a bit more average-Joe.

A thought occurs about Terry's earlier comment about the "light & dark sides."

It is possible Jacob takes over Jack in some kind of non corporeal dealie, setting up a Jack/Locke good vs. evil show down?
Jack as the Hero and Locke as a pawn of evil forces?? Ugh. You almost made me throw up. :scream::rolleyes::brickwall::mad:
