Terry Molloy's Davros

Worf2DS9

Rear Admiral
Rear Admiral
I have yet to see a Terry Molloy Davros episode on television, however I just finished the 8th Doctor audio Terror Firma featuring Molloy and I must say I was impressed by the performance and was surprised how reminiscent it was to Julian Bleach's in Series 4, with that range of quiet menace to the ranting madman.

And despite the fact that I've thought that the post-Michael Wisher makeups for Davros in classic Who have looked kind of weird and comical at times, if Molloy's performances were anything like his turn in this audio, I look forward to seeing some of his Davros episodes on TV some day.

I was watching the Dr Who confindential on Davros the other day, and in actual fact the new mask reminds me more of Terry's mask than Michael's. Colour and texture aside it owes a lot to the design - the shape is far closer than the the shrunken nature of the 70s version

Terry does tend to get ignored, which is a pity - he's done so much for the character on audio. The Davros Mini-series is unbelivably good.

Julian looked so much like Michael Wisher in Torchwood it was spooky.

Terry Molloy is my favorite Davros. He's good on television even when his scripts aren't, and if you thought Terror Firma was good, wait until you hear Davros.

What especially always amazes me is what a good doddering old professor he plays in The Scarifyers.
