Nice cover art it reminds me of the ds9 Millenium covers and the early relaunch books forming a Triptych picture.I hope we'll get some synopsis for the these books sometime soon.I'm really looking forward to getting them. I'm glad to see Odo on the cover I missed not having him in the ds9 books.
^^If by "early relaunch books" you're talking about the Avatar covers, that was a diptych, because there were only two of them. And I guess the Mission: Gamma covers would be a tetraptych. (No, not a "quadriptych" -- it's from Greek, not Latin.)
I'm not a fan (of the covers that is). Perhaps the problem is that the resolution and size are so low, maybe they look better larger and actually on a book. Fortunately what's between the covers is what matters most, and that I have every confidence will be excellent... with the caveat that there better be lots of Winn Adami shenanigans.
Wow, that is incredible. The cover art just keeps getting better and better. Yeah, that is Kira. I think it's from one of the flashbacks they did somewhere during the series. Being detail obsesive I checked MA and Trekcore and it appears to be from Ties of Blood and Water. Or at least she's in the vest she wore in that episode.
I was pretty sure, but not 100%, which is why I asked. I often have trouble figuring out who is who on covers, and I still have a tough time with the Star Wars: The New Jedi Order cover characters. I'm loving the cover art for these books. I hope the contents live up to it.
A question totally unrelated to the art (which is spectacular), will these books be released as "Star Trek: Terok Nor" or as DS9 books with the "Terok Nor" as a subtitle (ala "Mission Gamma")?
Damn shame Dukat had to wear the black uniform in 'Ties of Blood & Water' instead of the brown design from TNG 'The Wounded'. Otherwise, that's a pretty good set of covers, especially the Odo part.
Fantastic covers! John Picacio is definitely my favorite Trek cover artist right now! BTW, Dukat wasn't in the flashback scenes of "Ties of Blood and Water", you're probably thinking of "Necessary Evil". I prefer the DS9 Cardassian uniforms to those brown ones.
No, he's probably thinking of "Wrongs Darker than Death or Night," the one where Kira went back in time to a past that played hell with previous continuity by having Terok Nor existing and Dukat as its prefect years before the previously established inception dates for either of those things (a discrepancy that I hope the books will address). It can be as easy to get those long, pseudo-poetic titles mixed up as it is to get the short, generic titles mixed up.
