Terminator Salvation: Trailer Two Released

I have to say I keep coming back to this trailer. This is really, really cool. I have to say I especially like the whole thing with Marcus. The scene where John lets him look down and he realizes what he is is really scary.

That actually got me thinking that this movie will most likely deal with some of the subjects that nuBSG is and has been dealing with. It made me wonder if there was some info on whether or not McG is a fan of nuBSG, and it seems he is according to a UGO Movie Blog post (I can't say how accurate the source is). If true, that, to me, is a very, very good sign indeed.

I'm getting more excited about this film as time goes by. I'm still not trying to get my hopes up too high in case it really doesn't live up to what this trailer seems to promise. But it's getting harder :D.

It looks like CG Arnold has finally been confirmed.

McG at last gave TheArnoldFans.com confirmation that Arnold will be in T4 and that he is blown away by the ILM Arnold footage by academy award winner Charlie Gibson.

TheArnoldFans: Let's talk Arnold. What's the latest with the ILM footage. How does the young CG Arnold look?

McG: Ah, it looks reeeeeaal good. (McG confesses and sounds totally impressed and proud at last). Arnold just saw the movie two nights ago.

That's right Arnold fans, you heard it; because Arnold liked very much what he saw with Terminator Salvation and his CG likeness, he scheduled a call-back for the director. Arnold wants to do business!

The only thing that will torpedo this film for me is if the rumored ending is true.

There are rumors going around that Skynet isn't a Supercomputer and is actually a group of humans that are in control over the battlefield management system - similar to what Brewster thought at the end of T3 that the global supervirus was a hacker in his garage and not Skynet. Another part of it is that Connor sends the T-800 back to kill his mother and sends Reese back too. Finally, the Connor is killed and replaced by a T-800.

Sounds like a rumor, but anything is possible.

I would say rumor since they said time travel wouldn't really play a part in this movie. They're probably saving that for T5.

As far as I remember, that rumor was deflated over a year ago by the producers themselves.

Total Film has an interview with McG who said he wants to bring Robert Patrick back for T5 as a human scientist.

i remember thinking a long time ago "Where did SkyNet get the faces for its Terminators?" and the T3 deleted scens showed Arnold as a guy called Sargeant Candy and I wondered who the T-1000 could've been so that sounds like a neat idea.

No, this is a new one that was recently released (only the last part is the same as before) and it's been revealed that one of the writers was who released it.

But, as I said, rumor (I got PMs asking me if it was true after posting).

Are you sure that was a deleted scene? I thought it was a joke scene, especially since he had the thick southern accent and the other guy had the Ah-nuld accent.

Besides, someone who looked like Arnold would be a wanted fugitive after T1.

Interesting twist, if true. But why would 'they' do this to their own?

Perfect quote for the reason (and it's from another Christian Bale movie)

Alfred Pennyworth:
Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Awesome. I listen to John Connor rallying the toops and my first thought is how uncharismatic and non-engaging I find him in SCC - but I guess that's a discussion for another thread! Really looking forward to this.

the T-1000 is the cop it kills upon arrival in 1992.
