I think most of us around here are aware the film has been in post production for a few weeks now. I came across this DarkHorizons piece that really made me feel even better about Christian Bale signing on to this. It only confirmed what we all thought. That if the story wasn't there he wasn't doing it to collect a paycheck.

When he[director McG] approached actor Christian Bale about doing the role of John Connor, the Batman actor "told me to fuck right off, he didn’t want to do it. He said, 'Write it so that it could be read cold on stage and I’ll think about doing it.'" McG staged a ‘cold table reading’ of the script to prove to the star that it could work as a serious drama without the benefit of special effects and stunts.

It also appears that those Arnold cameo rumors by way of 'shopping are in jeopardy.

Will Schwarzenegger make an appearance? "We’re trying to synthesise a human character with a CGI character and that may or may not have something to do with the T800...At the moment it’s not good enough and we’re running out of time."

Frankly I hold that you don't need Arnold, especially not in this movie if rubber skinned and earlier Skynet machines are the focus. I could see it as an issue in a T:5 when Skynet would have the T-800 ready. Save Arnie for that one when he's done running Callie.

Can't wait to get the first full trailer on this and I'm curious to read some reports from someone that got to see the 7minutes screened in Londons West End.
