Here are a few random notes from David on BBC Breakfast news a few moment ago. (I have to say I've seen him looking better/healthier. )

More snogging than Pertwee did. He can't help it if the ladies of the universe keep coming onto him.

The Doctor is asexual.

He "lost" the Doctor while he was away on stage and couldn't recall the Doctor's voice. It all came back when he put the Doc's clothes back on.

Wouldn't pick a favourite enemy, or be drawn on the best kisser.

He would probably not enjoy rodents in real life.

If its online it must be true....

He remembers watching Pertween turning into Baker and has been captivated by Who since then.

His real name is David MacDonald.

Named himself after Neil Tennant of the Pet Shop Boys - chose his name from leafing through Smash Hits.

Keeping his options open post Who. Doing theatre recently was great.

Newsreader: "Can you tell us anything about regeneration?"

Tennant: "No."

Bigger guest stars yet to come, despite the ones who have already been leaked.

Was filming in Cardiff this week.

Matt Smith great choice.

Everything on the Who set is quite well nailed down so probably won't be able to nick anything from off the set.

Quite excited that Who will be on high def for the first time tonight.

Catherine and David pretending to be djs this morning (his words, not mine.)

People will probably want to watch Who tongiht.

(I thought it was enormously funny and quite sweet that he felt he hastily needed to plug the show tonight before the interview ended - almost, kind of slipped into the Doctor for a moment while he was doing it. )

You'll probably be able to pick this all up on the tube when someone uploads it in a few minutes.

I would bet his unhealthy look (which I noticed from certain press shots lately) comes from doing Doctor Who, straight into a stage production, and then having freakin' SPINAL SURGERY and then back into Doctor Who. Can you imagine running down a corridor, playing The Doctor, no more than maybe a couple of months since having major surgery on your back? Man, I bet he is FULL of pain killers. I had heart surgery when I was sixteen, and I can tell you even at that age it take quite awhile to get back to form...

^ I'm not complaining that he looked rough, just commenting. You're right about his schedule and the surgery, too. It's not something I'd normally comment on, I know that folks often look better in-role than in real life, it's just that he did look particularly ... shitty.

Just watched it on YouTube. Very nice. I actually didn't think he looked bad, just that his hair is shorter than usual. I'm so excited about the special and the next ones, now. I wonder who these guests are that Tennant hinted at.

Whether or not you're a shipper, I don't think it's reasonable at all to conclude that the Doctor is asexual. He's simply had too many obviously romantic feelings for various characters on the show at this point -- Rose, Jabe, Lynda-With-A-Y, Reinette, Sarah-Jane, Joan, the Master (debatable, granted, but... c'mon... ), Astrid, River...

And, frankly, I'm convinced that he and Jaime had something goin' on back in the day.

I know a lot of people who feel the same way with the names thing. Vic Reeves put it best, basically if someone shouts 'Vic' in the street, he knows not to turn round as they don't actually know him.

I have a lot of hatred for such questions.

It's a horrible thing to go back to a hard schedule in pain, but... it would work well for him if he was to look more worn down as the specials go on. As if he was getting older, run down and tired and regenerating at an older age than we've seen him recently.
