Oh yes, I have heard of that. That was really a remarkable cameo. I'm sure people annoyed him for years to come with "Wow, I saw you on Star Trek and noticed you right away!" But Iggy Pop had better luck.

And at least you could tell that it was Iggy Pop, even with all the Vorta makeup. :)

Just yesterday I read about the cameo of James Horner in Star Trek II and I found a picture. Iggy Pop did very well and made a cool Vorta.

The Vorta were all cool. Not like f.e. the Kazon who were all ... not so... cool... I think the Vorta all worked very well... I also liked the one that was shot in the Iggy Pop episode.

Keevan. The DS9 crew captured him at the end of "Rocks and Shoals" and held him until the aborted prisoner transfer in the Ferengi episode.

I guess I have to give it another rewatch. It's four years I watched DS9 the last time. I wait for the remastered version, lol. :D

Lets his entire Jem'Hadar unit get wiped out just to save himself. Some commander. The Weyoun clones could be nasty, but he wasn't that personally petty and treacherous to his own troops.

That's really naughty. Imagine what your grandma would say.
Well, they both passed, but though my mother's mother would be seeking an exorcist being very religious, my father's mother would Uncle Ben me into being a hero or something.

It was probably a costly effect.

DS9, like all Trek shows, had plenty of those. And they managed.

Even so, it's not like there were Vorta in every episode. Although when there were, they were usually surrounded by a squad of Jem'Hadar, so I guess that's the reason they're not all telekinetic.

^Yeah, with the Jem'Hadar backing you up with the ability to cloak, telekinesis would be overkill.

Why use telekinetic powers to protect yourself when you have loyal soldiers who will blast your opponents to vapor with a single order? I imagine that some Vorta used those powers in situations where their lives were endangered and they didn't have Jem'Hadar troops protecting them, but many may not have developed those abilities so they couldn't.

It would explain why Keevan never attempted to break away from Starfleet captivity after he was taken prisoner and only tried to run on foot and steal a Ferengi shuttle when he was used as a bargaining chip to trade for Quark's mother Ishka.
