welcome :) I hope neither of you has a fear of spiders? My avatar (eyes of a jumping spider) is just a temporary affair till I can remember where I stored my old one with the rhubarb.

Not overly fond of them, but even allowing for that, the jumping spider is almost cute (at least from a distance:guffaw:)

I felt like complete Hell with my bowls, stomach, and back from Friday the 12th well into earlier this week, but now I mostly fairly weak and drowsy instead. A few times I almost vomited.

My guts and lower back played up again last night, but I must be too slowly getting over what ever it is, because my problems felt considerably less acidy/staby than they did in the previous weeks, and most recent nights have been undisturbed and my drowsiness is lifting.

Either way I booked to see a doctor.
 
Definitely a good idea! Are you European or American? Over here in EU we currently have a mean virus going round that causes what you described. Of 180 colleagues at my office about half of them called in sick last week. Perhaps you caught that one, too?
If you like ginger, try some against the nausea. It helps in any form, whether dried and ground or fresh as a tea or in a stew. Even as boiled sweets. My favourite is candied ginger sticks covered in milk chocolate =) Medicine need't always taste like hell to work :)
 
I'm English, I have got wind of nasty stomach illness sweeping through both North America and mainland Europe in the past month or more, with word of another guy from a recent social gathering I went to coming down with stomach complaints (I unintentionally helped spread it, not thinking what I had until after a couple of days of agony). I posted this topic on another forum and few other Brits replied suffering similar symptoms at different levels of severity (some suffered for many days or weeks like me or got over it after 24 hours).

Long time no post for me. I'm hoping someone may remember me, I'm not holding out. I dropped off there for a while because my old firm blocked this site, why I have no idea, I could get into other forums, but not this one, and I didn't do much web surfing at night's and the weekends. Any who, I'm back. Just wanted to stop by and say hey...so, "Hey."
 
But, I am getting MUCH better...

Not to brag (which makes the next thing I say automatically a brag) but I lost 140 pounds by mainly walking and doing squat thrusts with weights. I swear by those two things. I didn't really eat healthier (apart from not drinking sodas and other sugary drinks and no fast foods).
 
That is fantastic, Man! Good on you, and I will aspire! I have 30 more kilos to go. Too old for squat thrusts, but I can walk and jog.
