1. (5.12 VOY) "The Bride of Chaotica!" - Ensign Tom Paris' latest holodeck adventure, "The Adventures of Captain Proton", takes an unexpected turn when the U.S.S. Voyager gets stuck in an interdimensional reef in this hilarious and imaginative episode.

2. (4.18-4.19 ENT) "In a Mirror, Darkly" - This surprisingly entertaining two-part episode features the back-stabbing antics of Jonathan Archer's Enterprise crew in the saga's Mirror Universe.

3. (3.16 VOY) "Blood Fever" - While enduring pon farr, a lovesick Ensign Vorik unexpectedly passes it to Chief Engineer B'Elanna Torres, affecting her relationship with Tom Paris during an Away mission.

4. (4.10 DS9) "Our Man Bashir" - While playing a 1960s secret agent inside one of Deep Space Nine's holosuites, he is forced to make life and death decisions for those crew members, whose transporter patterns are stored in the program during an emergency in this wildly entertaining episode.

453226_300.jpg

5. (4.07 VOY) "Scientific Method" - Unseen alien intruders used Voyager's crew as specimens for series of experiments that affect their physical and mental health in this weird and spooky episode.

6. (6.19 DS9) "In the Pale Moonlight" - This fascinating episode depicted Captain Benjamin Sisko and former Cardassian spy Elim Garak's efforts to manipulate the Romulans into joining the Federation in its war against the Dominion.

453654_300.jpg

7. (1.28 TOS) "City on the Edge of Forever" - In this Hugo Award winning episode, Captain James Kirk and Commander Spock are forced to go back in time to the early 1930s to prevent Dr. Leonard McCoy from changing time, when the latter accidentally disappears through a time portal, while heavily drugged.

454123_300.jpg

8. (5.10 DS9) "Rapture" - An accident causes Captain Sisko to have prophetic visions involving the Bajorans' religious beliefs and their future with the Federation.

454345_300.jpg

9. (5.18 TNG) "Cause and Effect" - The U.S.S. Enterprise-D becomes stuck in a time loop involving another Starfleet ship, but the crew manages to retain some memories of previous instances.

454519_300.jpg

10. (7.24 TNG) "Pre-emptive Strike" - In this bittersweet episode, helmsman Lieutenant Ro Laren graduates from Starfleet's advance tactical training and is eventually ordered by Captain Jean-Luc Picard to infiltrate the Maquis and lure its members into a trap set by Starfleet.

It's one thing to say you enjoyed TATV. But top 10? Of the whole franchise? :wtf:

The Enemy Within (TOS)
City on the Edge of Forever (TOS)
Amok Time (TOS)
The Measure of a Man (TNG)
The Best of Both Worlds, Part One (TNG)
The Inner Light (TNG)
The Die is Cast (DS9)
The Visitor (DS9)
In the Pale Moonlight (DS9)
Timeless (VOY)

That was hard work. They aren't in order, and there are loads of others I could have put on instead. But those are the ones I can go back to all the time and still think they're as awesome (or even better) as the first time I watched.

1. Best of Both Worlds, pt. 1
2. Scorpion, pt. 1
3. Best of Both Worlds, pt. 2 (maybe tied with Scorpion)
4. Year of Hell, pt. 1
5. Sacrifice of Angels
6. The Visitor
7. All Good Things...
8. Yesterday's Enterprise
9. Year of Hell, pt. 2
10. Call to Arms or What We Leave Behind

T'Arwen, I tell you, true:

There are several reasons why "These Are The Voyages" is a favourite franchise episode, of mine. Jonathan Frakes is called upon to bring scenes to life that are so dynamically different from one another and he handles all of those tones, so adroitly.

For example, when the MACO team goes in to rescue Shran's ankle biter, we see Riker in full MACO regalia, bringing the audience right in the middle of the action, with an exciting gunfight. Then, later, we see Riker sharing a tender moment with the Ice Queen, herself, T'Pol, reminding her - in chef's regalia, this time - of just how lucky she was to be loved by Trip. And she takes and receives that information.

Riker's also got dramatic scenes, of galactic import. With Deanna Troi on tap - to assist him, as needed. So, as you can see, even with an episode that's not on the epic level as The Classic Series offering "City on the Edge of Forever," Jonathan Frakes delivers. He's also been in every STAR TREK spinoff series, for that very reason. So, having him wrap up the Berman-era, with the last show of ENTERPRISE, makes perfect sense.

TATV may not be a "classic," but it delivers on entertainment, in a very big way.

Top 10
The Cage: TOS
also loved the Menagerie which is like an extended remix.

Mirror Mirror: TOS
fun to see the evil versions of everyone.

Q Who: TNG
When the borg were truly terrifying.

Darmok: TNG
2 separate races try to talk with one another while speaking completely different languages with different outlooks on speech. This is just something that anyone should be able to relate to.

Yesterdays Enterprise: TNG
Kind of like a mirror episode, but really another universe episode.

Cause and Effect: TNG
The mystery of the number 2, I always remember this one.

The Visitor: DS9
I just always took this to heart. To me the basic message of it is, not to waste your life worrying about the past, but too push forward.

Hard Time: DS9
O'Brian was never my favourite character, but this is one of my favourite episodes that's all about O'Brian.

Blink of an Eye: Voyager
Favourite episode of all of Voyager.

In a Mirror Darkly: Enterprise
The show is pointless and doesn't even involve anyone in the "regular" universe, but it's just a lot fun. The opening scene itself fills you with awe and inspiration as the vulcans land, then immediately switches to "WTF did I just see" this is amazing when you realize it's a Mirror episode.

Almost made the cut:
Little Green Men: DS9
Best of both Worlds: TNG
Corbomite Maneuver: TOS
Workforce: Voyager
Equinox: Voyager
Time Squared: TNG
Tinker Tenor Doctor Spy: Voyager
Tuvix: Voyager

After coming up with this list, I'm surprised at my favourite episodes. My favourite series was DS9. But there weren't too many stand out episodes. It was just great as a whole. TNG and Voyager for me had the most stand out episodes.

I'm picking one episode (my favorite) from each series (including films), twice; my top ten overall would exclude certain series. (And this is just today's list, before seeing Star Trek Beyond this evening.)
