Okay, what if the Temporal Cold War isn't what we thought it was?
We know the Federation was regulating time travel in DS9, and we also know that the Krennium Imperium was meddling with time.
What if Kovich/Daniels is like Annorex?
What if the prophets were the illusion?
Kovich has Sisko's baseball in the finale of Discovery, and he also refers to the white rooms as infinity rooms.

What if the Prophets were an illusion?
Now what if the interest of the Federation was always Bajor, there is something important about it (The wormhole, if it's not a synthetic construct of the Federation).
What if the Prophets themselves were a Psyop that Kovich orchestrated across the history of Bajor.
Sisko ends up in a white room several times in DS9, Emissary, The Visitor, and What you Leave Behind.
The Infinity Rooms in Star Trek Discovery remind me a lot of of this space (Q does take Picard to one of them too.)

If that all ties Discovery's finale together, then I'll argue that the Celestial Temple, the prophets, and the Pah Wraith might have been a Psyop, crafted by the Federation, so they could get control of Bajor.
This was all engineered by non other than Kovich/Daniels.
The Federation of the 32nd century and Kovich were interested in using the late 24th century as a theater of war, and used the Federation, Klingon Empire, and Romulan Star Empire as Proxies against another faction.
Ben Sisko had to be extracted from the timeline, as his very existence is a smoking gun that the 32nd century federation violated the Temporal accords.

I'm in the middle of a DS9 Re-Watch, almost exactly half-way through the series, and I can tell you that the Prophets aren't an illusion. That's not even getting into what happens towards the end of the series when the Prophets arrange for Sisko's birth...

... unless you're trying to say that Kovich arranged for Sisko's birth.

I think it's more confusing how the Fed was able to enforce a galaxy wide time travel ban. The Klingons presumably have their time crystals on Boreth. Book claimed that all the time travel tech was destroyed but did the Fed really know that? Then the Burn happened, and we see the Fed has no power to enforce anything. Now that dilithium is back after Discovery, it's not clear how the Fed can prevent the Emerald Chain or whoever from recreating time travel tech and starting temporal chaos all over again. Kovich still has his knowledge of how to develop time crossing communicators as seen in Enterprise episode Shockwave. Just a mind meld here, a betazoid there, or some Romulan mind probes all over and that knowledge is in the wild again

Events of Discovery seem to have the UFP being the sole source of Dilithium, now. I'm not sure that was ever really addressed later, and I'd bet a quatloo it won't come up in Academy either, but there it is.

Anyway, as fan theories go it's a fan theory. And no I don't think Daniels arranged the Sisko to be born so the whole thing falls apart from that. Not to mention the Prophets have been shown to be real and their interactions, if rare, with the Bajorans go back Millenia. How much credit are we giving Daniels?
