Tell Me Three Things About Yourself

1. I used to be a journalist.
2. I'm trying my hand at writing for television.
3. I wish I could afford to travel as much as I love to travel.

I've had cancer twice and a transplant.
I'm married and have 3 kids, daughters 24 and 21 and a son who's 17.
Back in the 80's I was elected to public office four times.

Goodness, too many to reply to!

1. I'm awesome.
2. I'm geeky.

These two go together quite well!

2. I'm a big Disney fan

Favorite Disney movie, park, and ride?

1. You already know me
2. Which is probably unfortunate
3. I like muffins

I'm much the better for knowing you!

1) I love to write.

What types of things do you write?

I love history

Any particular period, or country's history?

1. I am married with two kids; a son 25 and a daughter 16.

You seem like you'd be a fun and fantastic mother. :)

2. I never tire of watching Futurama with the commentary track on.

I think this would drive me crazy!

1. I have a PhD in political science.

How long did that take?

To paraphrase Chris Lowe, there are some things I don't like, but what I do like, I love passionately.

I greatly admire passion in people. I know we don't all like the same things, but I like to see someone really love and enjoy something.

- I'm currently recovering from a trimalleolar fracture in my ankle :borg:
- I'm an air force cadet
- I'm not a squirrel!

Ouch! Get better soon! Also we all know you really are a squirrel. :p

3) From your platonic pedestal, you will look upon me and wonder why I don't have a girlfriend

Unfortunately, this is a bit spot on!

1. I'm an artist, but my degree is in engineering
2. If I could, I would eat peanut butter for every meal
3. My hair is expanding at an alarming rate

Kestra: It took me five-and-a-half years from starting graduate school to the defense of my dissertation. That included two years of teaching full time while writing it. Five years was the average amount of time for those around me who finished, but you were only funded for four years. So after four years, you basically got kicked out onto the job market ABD (All But Dissertation).

Kestra: I write short fiction and I've begun submitting them to various magazines both print and online. No bites yet but I'll keep doing it.

1: I'm an awesome New Englander
2:I'm engaged to a hot Southerner
3: I'm dying to watch a Reds-Red Sox game in person.

I suppose I'll add three things of my own!

1. I've never found any beverage that tastes better than water (although a well-made chocolate martini is a close second).

2. Sometimes I still feel as if I’m playing at being a grownup, rather than actually being one.

3. I look for the best in people and believe it's easy to find good in others.

1. I'm left handed
2. I have cerebral palsy
3. My wonderfulness will give you seizures, so pray we never meet in person.

umm...

1. I'm married with two children: little miss trampledamage is 5 and young master trampledamage is 3.
2. mr trampledamage, little miss trampledamage and I emigrated from Northern Ireland to Canada four years ago.
3. I feel much more comfortable communicating through writing rather than talking.

(points one and two are probably obvious, I do talk about them a lot :alienblush:)
