1. I really am a musician.
Only three?
3) I have two dogs: A pomeranian I got from a breeder and a pom/chihuahua mix I got as a rescue
3. I like this cute Armenian guy at work, but he's likely a straight guy, and I wouldn't dream of approaching him (though I've spoken with him a few times).
1. I adore music - listening (I'll listen to almost anything) and playing (flute) and singing. I suspect this is due to being the daughter of a music teacher and being related to the late Sir Malcolm Arnold, a composer.
1. I've been mostly bored and lonely lately, what with moving to a new city, with a new language. I'm a little overwhelmed with everything, so I can't seem to get my shit together and stop slacking off at uni.
3. I lived in Canada illegally for 5 years before getting my immigration paperwork finalized!
2. I usually remember my dreams, and they can be rather crazy. Especially right after I've watched Doctor Who or Buffy or something.
1. I'm a snob about a lot of things, but usually I manage to not let it on around other people.
2. I'm a bit of a jerk.
Wow Kestra - you're an original triple threat - smart, sweet and cute to boot! This thread is fun!
I love winter! Do you live somewhere with harsh or mild winters?I kind of like winter
3. We are hoping to adopt this year (or at least be well underway with the process)
3. I have a tendency to take on more work than can possibly be healthy; an acquaintance, who at the time was a bartender at the bar I used to frequent, once nicknamed me "the boy who can't say 'no'" because at the time, I was working on three separate science fiction conventions and trying to start a fourth, non-SF convention. (For those of you who have me friended on Livejournal, yes, that's where the name comes from... who needs context?) Right now I only have two on the go (though it was three for a while, when I was in charge of Events for last year's Worldcon). And that's while maintaining a full-time job and, until recently, a long-distance relationship. And yes, I do get at least six hours of sleep per night (usually).
3. Caretaker of both my elderly parents.
i love the arts and all kinds of music.
3. I have a dark sense of humor.
You know, this one has always intrigued me because you've mentioned it before but you always come across so sweet and wholesome on the board.
Hey, and how is your kitten? I remember you expressing misgivings about getting it; is it going well? How are your darlings doing? My parents' pomeranian looks like a giant brick of a dog ever since we got a kitten.

1) It will take you a couple weeks to warm up to me
2) Once you warm up to me, you will love me in a platonic way
3) From your platonic pedestal, you will look upon me and wonder why I don't have a girlfriend
3) I have a B.A. in English and Theatre & Film Studies -- and I have no idea what to do with it.![]()

First of all, I love how you crammed in as much info as you could into three separate points.![]()
Second, friend me on LJ! I'm "kestramiral" there.
Thirdly, make sure you take care of yourself and don't get too overwhelmed!
A lot of people admit to (sometimes large) discrepancies between their personalities on line and in real life. Honestly, I think I come across pretty similarly online as I do IRL, so hat you see is what you get -- though I do find it easier to flirt online.I think I come across as more idealistic online than I do in person. I used to be a really cynical, sarcastic, and negative person in RL so some of that still comes across. But I think the way I am online is more of who I really am.
And yeah, kitten's doing well! We kept the name Comet, and while I don't think I'll ever be a cat person, I treat him like he's my little baby and spoil him rotten. And my husband absolutely loves having him. I swear sometimes I feel like it's two against one in the house now!
