Teen Wolf Season 3 Part 2.

What we've learned from tonight's episode:

  • Kira is indeed a kitsune of the Japanese lore, although she was not initially aware of it.
  • The black ninja are Oni (or demons) that look for darkness in one's soul, and they have been looking into the souls of supernatural entities like the werewolves, Lydia (a banshee), and now Kira.
  • Stiles is possessed by a nogitsune. But how did that happen?

  • Stiles is possessed by a nogitsune. But how did that happen?
It probably sneeked in at the end of season 3A or when he left the door open in his dream at the start of 3B.

I hope his health problems are not caused by the possession because I can't see how his mother being possessed too would fit into the storyline. Maybe him being ill made him an easier target or his mind is extra yummy.
The possession running in the family would also make Stiles slightly less of a regular human.

Do we know how Stiles' mother died? Did she die from some somatic illness, was it suicide because of mental illness or an accident (i.e. Demon hunter)?

Stiles himself isn't a supernatural being, but the Oni sensed the presence of a dark spirit within him. I guess that gives Dylan O'Brien something important to do. ;)

"Everyone has it, but no one can lose it."

Another nail biting episode. It appears the nogitsune inside Stiles is starting to manifest itself, but he's obviously fighting it. Kira's mother is some kind of kick ass warrior who wants to stop the entity. I feel sorry for Stiles, but I bet he'll get through the prefrontal dementia.

Great episode, the nogitsune was creepy as hell!

I agree.

Beautiful moment between Scott and Stiles in the hospital. The actors really nailed it -- it felt like an authentic scene of two friends that've grown up together and now face the possibility that one may lose the other.

I think even the parents understood that (not sure if they had the mic open from that room), but I don’t think Stiles’ father would refuse.

Another electrifying episode, but I don't quite understand why Dr. Deater had to go to the Japanese guy's house to get the lichen to poison the Ogitsune/Stiles, who by the way is really devious and is causing so much havoc.

Kira's parents want to defeat the Ogitsune inside Stiles, and they're using the Oni. But don't they realize they also pose a threat to the wolves and others who might get in the way?

When Lydia told Peter he was a father, I thought she meant a father to Derek. I immediately thought, "Wait, does that mean Peter and Talia had an icky incestuous affair?!" Eww. So it was Haley(?).

Who was Peter's daughter? It was obvious we were supposed to recognize her, but I can't remember who she is/was.
The last couple of episodes have been great. I have compliment Dylan O'Brien, he did a great job doing the crazy evil Nogitsune.
So are both of Kira's parents Kitsune?

I thought it was girl from that long-unsolved “crime” of the mother and kids in the car crash. That it was caused by the older girl (?) being a werewolf and that her turning or attacking or whatever caused the crash, and she went missing for 10 years or whatever.

All those “whatevers,” Pretty obvious I’m not remembering details.

What's Ms. Morell doing at the asylum? Isn't she a guidance counselor at Beacon Hills High? And what are these high school kids doing running around skipping classes?

This Nogitsune plot is getting old, kinda like the Peter Pan arc on OUAT. So it turns Malia is also at the institution. Good to see Stiles to get laid.

I've been really enjoying the Nogitsune arc so far. I was surprised to see Malia pop back up, but I liked her here so I'm hoping she sticks around. I was disapointed they didn't get Stile together with Lydia, but I wouldn't mind if Malia sticks around and they stay together.

Sometimes they focus on too many characters at the same time, though I suppose that's good character development, but too much of it can be distracting and confusing.

I liked Mrs. Yukimura's origin story, as well as the nogitsune's. Who would've thought she was a 900-year-old kitsune? It made an interesting reference to a rather shameful part of American history - the internment of Japanese American citizens during World War 2. I felt sorry for Rhys, the soldier who was Mrs. Yukimura's love interest at the internment camp and who ended up being the vessel for the malevolent entity that now inhabits Stiles. Rhys was a good guy who didn't deserve the fate he got, but the two corrupt soldiers got their comeuppance.

Yeah, that was a good one. Definitely didn't not expect that for Kira's mother or the nogitsune.

Intense episode. Scott and Lydia succeeded in getting the nogitsune out of Stiles, or vice versa. Somehow Derek, Isaac, and the twins were "infected" with flies, but they were freed from the influence. I liked how everyone got their own screen time, and that always helps provide a balanced story,
