Yeah, that's been doing the rounds on Facebook today. It's nice to have a date, but damn those sorts of teasers that don't actually show anything frustrate the hell out of me.
Hmmmm... slight update to the logo and I'm guessing we'll get a new TARDIS interior since the old one is burning...
Yeah. They can do better than that. Make it 30 or 45 seconds and show Capaldi actually saying a line. Throw us a bone. Sheesh.

I didn't expect it to return so early but I'm thrilled. Hopefully a proper trailer will follow shortly.
Perhaps, but I doubt it. They replaced the old one after a relatively short time because of the move to Roath Lock studios, but I don't see them playing musical desktops again so soon as it would seem to be an unnecessary expense.
Yeah, I think they will get a bit more mileage out of the current one, since they only used it for half a season so far.

God, I hope so. The current interior was so clearly built on the cheap after their change of studios. I hope the BBC might pony up some more cash to build a halfway decent set.

Agreed. I can't see how people can get all excited about 15 seconds of logo and music and a few quick flashes of a silhoutte. I mean, if all they wanted was to tell us when it airs, a pressrelease would have been enough. Give us something substantial, or nothing.
Could just be something for the trailers that won't be in the show, like Eccleston running from the explosion in the S1 promos.
Well I think the BBC is taking this attitude, he's the 12th Doctor, but the 13th regen of that timelord..but I am a bit confused there, since the war doctor was redeemed, and the war doctor calls himself the doctor..
hmmmm...maybe Capaldi will have the doctor live up to his age, instead of saying he's younger then he is..or maybe Matt Smiths doctor didn't want to face he was on his last regen cycle..

It doesn't matter that the War Doctor was redeemed. He still called himself the Warrior for most of the time, and only before regenerating did he admit to being the Doctor again. And even then, the Ninth-Eleventh ones had no idea he redeemed himself at that point.

I hope Murray Gold put's out some all new music for Capaldi going forward. I was a bit disappointed by the lack of new music in DoTD and ToTD , maybe he had another gig and was to busy for those specials, IDK. Just hope his gives the new Doctor just as much of a distinctive musical identity as he did for Smith's Doctor.
I'd like a tweaked theme song for the new Doctor. The 11th's sucked compared to the song for 9/10. It had a weird lead up to the main part of the song, and it did a poor job of getting me pumped for the episode (which the 9/10 song did well).
As for the teaser, I'm excited. I can't wait for more Doctor Who, and I'm glad we're not waiting until Fall, although August seems a long way away right now.

Really, they could just take the current set and give it a bit of spit and polish with fairly minimal cost or effort. Cover up at least some of the dingy metal look with something sleek and clean and bright. Turn up that warm lighting around the base of the walls to contrast with the cold light from the 'time-rotor'. The current set looks more like a one-off set for a single episode rather than the heart of the show.
The Doctor doesn't generally refer to himself by a number, that's largely a fan invention. We know who we mean when we say "the Twelfth Doctor," but the Doctor will just continue to call himself the Doctor.
Give us the round things!
Considering the inconsistency of when the show actually airs, that teaser disappointed me. Wish we got an actual trailer with an actual date. We have a month but everything is still up for speculation. It's almost June so that means 3 months away from the premiere.
