Teaser online in better format

Anybody else surprised at how incredibly THIN those plates they're welding on are? Obviously the ship has shields to protect it, but I would still expect a ship of such massive size to have a thicker hull than that.

I know, I know, it's just a teaser. :D

I'm not sure. Could be the back of the secondry hull. Between the pylons.

That was my impression as well. The middle section doesn't look curved enough to be the top of the nacelles (which, judging from the caps, are pretty much completely round).

Thank you Starship Polaris for the great footage, it's nice and clear! :)

From the closure my brain is putting together I feel this ship will have a really sleek silhouette. The design may integrate past influences but I feel this ship will be radically different. I feel there's a retro sleekness coming from it. And wow, I find that exciting design wise. :)

I'm sure as thin as they are, they are some exotic metalic alloy 1000 times stronger and lighter than steel. ;)

Actually, I'm surprised that the worksite has such poor lighting for the night shift. Where's these guys' union rep? Isn't this a union job?

I know, I know, it's just a teaser. :D

Anyone notice that the starboard nacelle fans were spinning? Weeeeeee! ok, I was excited. Don't know why.

btw, the background looked like a town/city on low hills. Could be anywhere, but it seems populated. Sorta like any ship building town.

Top of the nacelle, rotating front of nacelle, Phase II movie main sensor under the saucer (that went to Phase II movie then TMP).

Oh...my...god...

My wife will love this!

Thank you thank you thank you thank you.

:heheheheheh:

I want to see this in Digital 3D IMAX.

And I love how the workers took the time to put some lights around the "USS Enterprise" lettering just for our benefit. LOL

^ HEH HEH HEH HEH HEH HEH HEH HEH HEH HEH HEH HEH HEH HEH ^

Just shows you can't take teasers seriously when stuff like that happens....

So in the future there is no war, no famine, no greed, no money. We live to better ourselves and the rest of humanity. How come some poor schmuck is bettering himself and the rest of humanity by welding the whole damn 1701 together. Doesn't sound like a great job to me.

I hope it gets much brighter as in color and not all like Bladerunner which would be too gritty. The old Enterprise was comfortable and sparse (clean lines) but I guess they had to pay set 'art' designers to clutter and change things.

^ I hope the guy gets great overtime pay + Insurance as that's a LONG way to fall from....

Where's the security???? every damn welder could be a romulan spy for all we know spray painting the romulan star empire emblem on the underside of every one of those hull plates!!!!! :vulcan:

None of that stuff even came up as a point in Trek until TNG...
