Teaser for episode 4x11

There is no way this episode DOESNT end with Tarka crippling Discovery and leaving it trapped in orbit of that planet while he and Book head off for the DMA.

or the same scenario but he leaves Book trapped aboard Discovery and heads out on his own.
I'm seriously hoping Book splits off from Tarka after this episode. I don't want them to be like Bonnie & Clyde. The longer they stay a duo, the less believable it'll be if he reconciles with Michael and stays on the series.

And I want them to avoid the trap of "They killed off the black guy!" or "They put the black guy in prison!" So I want Book to work things out. Somehow, some way. And Tarka's doing him no favors.

I dunno. Book has come this far and if he can justify leaving Discovery simply disabled not destroyed so he can complete HIS mission I think he would.

Starfleet ships do have internal sensors which serve the same/better function. Problem is that Disco did away with most of the basic stuff 24th century introduced.

TUVOK [OC]: Can you locate the Doctor on the internal sensors?
PARIS: I'm not reading him. He must've masked his signature somehow.

..

Chief Tactical Officer's log, stardate 54890.7. With internal sensors offline, I've had to order a section by section search for our missing crew members.

EDDINGTON: Well, that got the adrenaline pumping. No sign of the Jem'Hadar. Looks like we lost them, Captain. Captain? Computer, locate Captain Sisko.
COMPUTER: Internal sensors are offline.
EDDINGTON: Of course they are.

RIKER: Other than the tetryon emissions in cargo bay four, our internal sensors haven't recorded anything unusual in the past three days.

I don't want them to be like Bonnie & Clyde.
There's only one real "Bonnie & Clyde" of DISCO, and that's Michael Burnham & Booker Cleveland.

Minus the whole Killing / Murder / Thievery that "Bonnie & Clyde" did IRL.

I want / need "Michael Burnham & Booker Cleveland" to have their 'Happy Ending'.

Basically, Married with many Children & retired from action, heroes of the Federation & Reality, saving the Universe multiple times.

I'm either hoping he dies in a heroic way or he remains with 10c as an ambassador. I really don't know if I want reconciliation with Michael.

Isn't there literally a cliché page on EAS that deals with security on SF ships:

EAS said:
Lacking security on Starfleet vessels
It is obvious that security precautions on Starfleet vessels especially of the 24th century are extremely lax. Although crucial areas like the bridge, engineering or shuttlebays are explicitly off limits to visitors, there is no sort of authorization necessary to get there, as Wesley Crusher before his days as a honorary ensign, the financier Ralph Offenhouse in TNG: "The Neutral Zone" and various other unwanted visitors keep proving. Even though the Klingons in TNG: "Heart of Glory" and Roga Danar in TNG: "The Hunted" were tough opponents, it was made overly easy for them to wreak havoc on the ship, especially if we bear in mind how easy it would be to destroy the whole ship by just firing at the warp core with a phaser. But even physically inferior intruders like the Ferengi in TNG: "The Perfect Mate" and yet again in VOY: "False Profits" gain access to restricted areas and are able to do damage very easily.

On a related note, it is obvious that children should not be allowed to run around everywhere on the ship just because it's for their own safety. But TNG creates the impression that they can play just everywhere on the Enterprise-D, unless a grumbling Klingon security chief chases them away.

Well Terri Hughes Burton is all over this one so it will have nuns with swords, stilted dialogue and plot holes you could pilot a oligarch's yacht through. Not very enthused. would love to be wrong.
