Okay, so I have been messing around with these designs for a long time, and with help from the Tardis builders website, Scarfwearer's detailed depictions, tons and tons of years of research with my good Friend and writer Bryan of the www.whoniverse.net website, and my own research of 12 years in physics, and Doctor Who lore, I have finalized and codified the result of what I believe is a very accurate depiction of the Type 40 TARDIS.

Below are the new schematic pages I have put together to depict the Type 40 ship. These pages will cover just about everything out there, floor plans, and art. There will be sections covering the main engines, and many things that have been taken from the TV series, Comics, Art books, 3D renditions, Doctor Who Magazine articles and much much more. Our goal with this schematics project is to bring the most accurate and concise depiction for a Factory Floor model Type 40 as if it was just presented in it's original Mark I default format, and it's additional Refit, the Mark IA which Pertwee was using during the time of the Three Doctor's special and subsequently the Planet of the Daleks.. With the Mark II console beginning with Pyramids of Mars and Tom Baker.. finally resting on the Mark III which was built and refit by the Fifth Doctor Peter Davison and is the default of the current model used today with varying and differing Desktop themes.

So here are the first 5 pages of the TARDIS Master Schematics and General Plans Index:

Fantastic.

I want to buy this as a book.

Thanks! I hope to be finished with this sometime later this year! My collaborator is Bryan Swift of the www.whoniverse.net website.

I'd love to download and pour through the finished product as a PDF. It looks amazing.

I will definitely be offering this up as a PDF! that is the perfect format for this, however I will also be getting a printed version made up for myself, which will be on high gloss paper, and printed on both sides.

check out this Schematic I did of the Type 91 War TARDIS.

I am looking for a 3D artist to render this so I can get it made from a 3D Printer, and have it on my desk at work.. I plan to get it made into plastic, and then have it sprayed in shiny Gold.

Here is a zoomed in version of the ship and pilot:

Unlike the Type 90, the Type 91 was equipped with precision temporal weaponry that had been developed and collected by the Slaughter House in the decades leading up to the Time War.
The Type 91 shared most of the systems and technology of the Type 90, including a black hole based transpower system, Chaotic Limiters, and the ability to blockade large areas of space-time. Unlike the Type 90, each Type 91 is owned and operated by a bipedal Time Lord or Time Warrior who is not welded into the artron mainframe. Their Artron Mainframe has also been enhanced with minimum intensity biodata to allow the timeship a basic awareness of three-dimensional lifeforms. The ship is constantly evolving its event boundaries to increase efficiency. Most operators configure the desktop theme to reflect the operator Time Lord's biorhythms or cellular structure.
All the exo-shells of the Type 91s are deliberately large and eye-catching. Their default shape takes the form of a massive spire of gold, covered in spikes. At the summit is a corkscrew shape that models the Time Lord owner's triple helix DNA. While in orbit over a world this gives them the appearance of golden spaceships, but when materialized on the surface of a planet they look like towering cathedrals anchored into the ground. When the chameleon circuit is engaged, the timeship will inevitably chose some sort of monstrously intimidating bio-mechanical form. War TARDISes can even extend tentacles and attack nearby enemies with a great deal of efficiency and destructive power.
War TARDISes carry a Tuckson-Jacker Energy Weapon that is based on the technology used in certain weather control systems. When set to broad spectrum, the Tuckson-Jacker Energy can tractor a TARDIS out of the Vortex and into real space. When set to pulse-mode, the Tuckson-Jacker Energy bursts are capable of penetrating even a TARDIS's Force Field. A successful hit renders both the TARDIS and the Time Lord operator incapacitated. Any Lesser humanoid species that was aboard would be killed.
An Artron Cannon is also standard on a War TARDIS. At short range, the cannon is capable of killing an Eternal. A more general configuration of this weapon includes the ability to release an omni-directional psychic blast of Artron Energy by opening a direct wormhole to the Prime Eye of Harmony on Gallifrey. The resulting burst of Artron Energy will kill any Timeships that are within the blast radius. The blast will also destroy any Chronovores in the area.

A powerful Vortex Lance rounds out the offences of a Type 91 War TARDIS.

They are equipped with a variety of temporal warheads which are kept in chronic stasis to prevent them from accidentally detonating. Once removed from stasis they can be launched from Time Warp Silos. The time warps created by the silos allow the warheads to be delivered to almost anywhere in space in time. The available warheads include the following:

  • Earthshock Bombs: Each bomb consist of fissionfusion devices that create a tiny hole in the Space-Time Continuum. This creates massive amounts of radiation and intertemporal shock waves. These weapons[/ref] [ext]were occasionally mounted on Type 40 TARDISes around the time of the Doctor's birth and were capable of reducing large asteroids to rubble.
  • Time Torpedoes: They take a little over 30 seconds for them to reach their target. When they detonate, their target is frozen in a microsecond of space-time for several centuries. These weapons are capable of breaching even a TARDIS's defences
  • Klypstromic Warheads: When detonated, the warhead irradiates the local area of the Space-Time Vortex blocking any TARDIS's entry into the Vortex for a span of 5 million years. This makes space-time travel difficult, if not impossible.
  • Doomsday Probes: Release a 5 second Entropy wave that will destroy all life in an entire sector of space.
The Proto-Type 91 was created about the same time the 101 Form was born, less then two decades before the Time War. Unlike the Type 90, the Type 91 War TARDIS was considered to be a success, and five decades after the start of the War it is now only the only pre-100 TARDIS still in production. Indeed it was virtually the only Type of TARDIS not to have been recalled and scrapped. For most of the Time War, the Eye of Harmony's Womb (sometimes referred to as a Hyper Loom is the most well defended location in the Universe.

  • Designed by Elite Military Technician Nivet
  • Default appearance is a massive golden spire with spikes
  • Automatic Architectural Configuration Program
  • Enhanced self-repair mode
  • Equipped with a Chaotic Limiter
  • Equipped with Tribophysical Waveform Macrokinetic Extrapolator based Force-Fields.
  • Equipped with a Tuckson-Jacker Energy Weapon
  • Equipped with an Artron Cannon
  • Equipped with a Vortex Lance
  • Time Warp Silos can launch Earthshock Bombs, Time Torpedoes, Klypstromic Warheads and Doomsday Probes.
  • Organized into Fleets of at least 1,000 ships and subdivided into Centuries of 100.
  • Only pre-100 Timeship to still be in production after the first 50 years of the Time War.

The Orb and spiked Artron cannon emitter array revolves slowly as the ship hovers above the battleground. Dalek armies hover towards the alien city, and Dalek fighter pods zoom about. A contingent of War Tardis type 91 Spires materialize and begin to fire temporal Missiles, and lash out with their morphological Spikes and tentacles of metal shredding Daleks, and their pods in mid air! The spinning ball atop the War Tardis Spire begins to revolve faster, as crackling Artron energy flows up in ringlets around the twisted cork screw top, as the energy reaches the orb, the spiked emitters fire a blinding flash of pure Artron power leveling Daleks, and ships in all four of it's directions, as the topper spins it's death wrath and decimates it's enemy. A stray blast is caught by a hulking mountain top, and is sheered clean off, the resulting blast creates a torrent of debri and clouds of rolling dust that herald a shockwave that destroys the remaining Dalek soldiers halting their forward advance. Just as fast as they arrived to the battle scene, the fleet of Type 91 War Spires dematerialize into the next confrontation in the front lines of the early days of the finest war in heaven, the Last Great Time War has begun!

Thank you so much for doing this.

I always thought the tech we saw in the recent film Jupiter Ascending looked a bit regal--like Time Lord tech in a pre-TARDIS era.

The Fifth Time Lord Battle Fleet existed during the Last Great Time War and consisted of Battle TARDISes. Preda was the Fleet's Commander. The Fleet led an assault on Dalek forces in the Tantalus Eye, and wiped them out. Shortly after, Dalek stealth ships decloaked nearby and wiped out the entire fleet. (PROSE: Engines of War)

Battle TARDISes were the usual type of TARDIS used in battle. Contrary to the Doctor's Type 40 TARDIS and other conventional TARDISes designed for time travel without the threat of attack, these were equipped with heavy armaments to engage in battle at a second's notice while being flown into hostile locations. The Celestial Intervention Agency made significant use of them.
Their outer plasmic shells were composed of living metal, able to morph into shields and any number of predetermined gun emplacements. (PROSE: Engines of War) Their main weaponry were time torpedoes, which could be used to freeze time and thus suspend other vessels in the time vortex. (AUDIO: Neverland)
The CIA used at least one Battle TARDIS, commanded by Tubal Cain, to capture the Fifth Doctor after he had brought an elemental being to Stockbridge. (COMIC: The Stockbridge Horror)
"Military TARDISes" were sent to collect the Sixth Doctor from visiting Eta Rho in a displaced timeline. (AUDIO: Trial of the Valeyard)
A flotilla of Battle TARDISes were sent to gather the Eighth Doctor and Charlotte Pollard for the fight against anti-time. The Doctor initially avoided them (AUDIO: Embrace the Darkness), but they eventually caught up to his TARDIS and snared it with time torpedoes. (AUDIO: Neverland)
Trey cleared out large sections of Gallifrey in order to make room for more Battle TARDISes. These Battle TARDISes would then join the fight in Gallifrey's "darkest hour". (AUDIO: Luna Romana)
Over a million Battle TARDISes were used by the Time Lords in the Last Great Time War. (PROSE: Peacemaker) A flotilla of Battle TARDISes were destroyed by Dalek stealth ships near the Tantalus Eye. Rassilon later sent another flotilla to the Eye to deploy the Tear of Isha. (PROSE: Engines of War) On the final day of the war, Priyan stated that every Battle TARDIS had been destroyed. (COMIC: Sky Jacks)

Parallel Cannons were powerful weapons of war developed by the Time Lords. They were used in the War against the Enemy.
These weapons fired a point hole towards another part of the universe into the nova of an anti-sun. This allowed the neutrinos from that dimension to pass into the normal one. The tear opened like a deluge. Physics worked differently there and the neutrinos destroyed anything they encountered. Normal matter simply fell apart under the principle of quantum shattering. Organic matter lasted a fraction of a second longer before disintegrating. If a parallel beam was left on long enough, it could eat through a world in three hours and destroy its atmosphere in nine.
They were considered an antique weapon. The Third Zoners were on the verge of developing them before the end of the war in the Fifth Time Assault. Its primariy advantage was that it avoided the attention of the Enemy. (PROSE: The Taking of Planet 5)

Time torpedoes were Time Lord weapons, used to trap a target in a temporal holding pattern, a locked second where the target could be frozen in time for centuries. (AUDIO: Neverland) Alternatively, they could create a stasis bubble around a target, immobilising them but leaving them conscious of their situation. (PROSE: Engines of War) Most Battle TARDISes carried time missiles, firing them from warp silos. They would create a halo effect when fired.
The Celestial Intervention Agency shot them at the Fifth Doctor to capture him for trial after allowing an elemental being to alter the timeline of Stockbridge. (COMIC: The Stockbridge Horror)
The CIA used them again when retrieving the Eighth Doctor and Charlotte Pollard for the fight against anti-time. (AUDIO: Neverland)
During the Last Great Time War, the Fifth Time Lord Battle Fleet fired time torpedoes on a Dalek fleet in the Tantalus Eye, destroying them. Karlax and the CIA used their TARDISes to fire time torpedoes at the Doctor's TARDIS, but the War Doctor had upgraded his TARDIS' shields so that they would have no effect. (PROSE: Engines of War

welcome :techman: I never saw Jupiter Ascending, now I'm going to have to check it out.

Well after extensive meeting with my Editor, I had to make some revisions to the schematic for the Battle TARDIS. Needless to say I had a few things wrong on the stats. So with that in mind, and a few other tweaks, I present to you the final revised and corrected version of the page 1 of the Battle TARDIS schematic page 1.
I hope you guys like it. Cheers! :techman:
