Apparently, one of the daughters of the late Robert Kardashian is getting divorced after a mere 72 days of marriage. Why this is newsworthy, I don't know, but George Takei tweeted this brilliant zinger:

Pure silliness. My best friend is an extreme Tea Partier. As a black man, he finds statements like that extremely offensive.
As a conservative, so do I. Why do liberals love to attribute to conservatives views they don't have?
Probably for the same reason the reverse is true, and why people of all stripes tell the untruths the do about people they disagree with.
Takei's reasoning is a non-sequitur. Both issues could be just as likely to negatively affect (or not) the institution of marriage.
