Which, in my opinion, pretty much sucked. They should just have used "The Star Spangled Banner" and chalked it up to "tradition."

Personally, I wish they'd used Jerry Goldsmith's theme from The Motion Picture as the national anthem for a little wink to the fans. The theme they did use was pretty dull stuff.

Come now. To Anacreon in Heaven is a bit more highbrow than that description gives it justice.To be fair, anthems are usually inspiring due their very nature as anthems. Back before Key wrote new patriotic American lyrics to an old British drinking song, the tune probably wasn't quite so inspiring. (Except, of course, to drunken Brits.)
