Taika Waititi to write and direct Thor 4

That's still a whole 2 hour movie.
Actual movie content will probably be one hour fifty minutes since the 1:59 running time also includes the closing credits, which are likely to be close to ten minutes long.

Of course, everyone's going to stay during the credits to see the post-credit scene, so I'm not sure what my point is even anymore.

I'm glad to see we're getting a film with a decent runtime. It feels like movies I've seen that are over two hours don't need to be over 2 hours, but they all seem to think they have to be nowadays, at least when it comes to the big films. There are exceptions of course, like the LOTR trilogy and Avengers films definitely justified longer run times. Buta lot of films from the last decade or so, even ones I really like, have felt over long at points.

There is no set length that a movie should be of course, but too many movies don't seem to know when to cut back a bit. As much as I really like the MCU, I'd be up for more MCU films that try to stick to two hours or less.

It's going to be so much damn fun! :D

I don't know why but every time I click on that link (or copy and paste it), it just redirects me to a search results page.

Thanks for posting that. I keep forgetting about the world premiere red carpets. They're always fun to watch.

Edit to add: I adore how Karen Gillan says "bonkers." :adore:

Also, Kat Dennings was at the premiere! I know that doesn't mean much (especially since Lia McHugh and Joe Russo were also in attendance) and she already said she isn't in it but...damnit, I still want to hope!

In a very weird turn of events, Lena Headey is being sued by her former agency because her role in Love and Thunder was cut.

I didn't even know she had a role in this film, let alone that it was cut. And now her former agency, who she says didn't even represent her for that role (and other roles) is suing over its omission.

Hollywood is weird.

What the hell has happened with Thor? Jeff Goldblum and Peter Dinklage have also been cut from the film. Did they run out of time to get it finished?

Is it possible that it's a Marvel Studios thing? No Way Home was shot without a finished script, DSMoM went through extensive reshoots, and an actor is getting sued because her part in Thor was cut. Has Feige finally bit off more than he can chew?

I wonder if the deleted scene with Lena Headey was also the same deleted scene with Peter Dinklage? That would have gotten a laugh out of the audience.

So 500,000 was 7% of her fee which means she got paid 7 million for the role. Peter Dinklage probably got the same and Goldblum even more. Even for a company like Disney flushing 25 million down the toilet is a big deal.

Thee article says their suing her for fees they say shed owes them, which still doesn't make sense since they didn't have anything to do with her involvement in Love and Thunder.
I'm shocked we hadn't heard about her being in it, may be it was going to be another surprise cameo like Sam Neil, Luke Hemsworth and Matt Damon in Ragnarok and Charlize Theron in Multiverse of Madness.
Maybe since Stan Lee isn't around any more to do his cameos, surprise cameos by unannounced actors could become a regular thing instead.
